Guys,

Don't be too negative and more stocks for the LCD will be coming this week or next week, those who have already list down your contacts with the service centre will be contacted by them shortly once there is enough stocks for replacement.

Just have to leave your contact with them if you do not want to leave your phone there and wait for the LCD to arrive as you can still use the phone first while waiting for their call for the replacement.

Definitely, all the affected sets with yellow tint will be replaced for free so not to worry.

Sent my phone to Junction 8 service centre last Tue (3 April) bacause of yellow tint problem, called just now and was told need to wait for 7 to 14 working days for parts. Asked whether can take back phone and send in again when parts arrive. Was told have to queue again if take back the phone bacause there are many phones waiting for service.

That's exactly what I was suspecting, too!

SONY is having to replace enormous number of XS screens for FOC and I think they're not gonna make much profit from the XS production already. :s8:

I haven't severely dropped my XS just yet. :s8:
And it's now resting safely at the service center. :(

Yes, I understand the problem is the long wait. You have to understand that Sony is coping on the demand on changing the LCD for Xperia S worldwide so the stocks coming is quite limited for Singapore but more orders have been placed.

well, i think i can live with the small dent.

if housing is 200 still ok. 420 is crazy. i might as well buy a new phone when a new model releases. :s22:

Yannoe, when an external casing appears on eBay, just get it and replace it

IIRC, you're capable enough

I know I plan to if the right colour appears =)

So is there any other manufacturers that can produce a decent phone? I guess Samsung is the only choice?

Anyway I should hold on to this phone until the replacement parts are ready.

BTW, do you think Sony will do one to one exchange soon like apple did?
