2012 handsets on will be just SONY.

However, Sony bought over the rights for the Sonyericsson logo so the logo will still remains the same, unless they decide to change one, or remove it since phones nowadays...dun need logo.

i saw some still having the sony ericsson on the front. i hope it is just sony. the logo is sony ericsson logo. sony is a 4 letters word without any logo.

sony is the brand name. sony has vaio, playstation, cybershot, walkman and etc. maybe sony is keeping the sony ericsson logo.

2012 Handsets onwards are SONY. No more Sonyericsson. Those are Arc S and below models.

Sony just completed the FULL ACQUISITION of Sonyericsson. Whether will sony contiune to use the green logo is up to Sony now to decide.

Current first 2 phones of 2012, Xperia S and Ion comes with SONY brand wording. Those with Sonyericsson are pre-production sample models.

Typical SONY packaging. Gone are the days of Sonyericsson design. Reminds me of my SONY headset packaging.

No leh, Sony packaging is better, go see their camera and MP3 player packaging for their premium series. Even their premium headphone packaging also not so cui. If the Xperia Neo or some other low end phones have this kinda packaging I won't be saying anything, but seriously?

Its the transition period for sony, they may not put too much effort for the box design. As long as the phone & bundled accessories are still good quality, i would overlook the details of the box.

I know what you all mean, but Sony was one of the few companies left that know how to package their stuff. Now we have no companies left that can do decent packaging. If we're already paying for a premium phone, it would be nice the packaging showed the same premium.

If packaging really didn't matter, I am sure they would not have bothered to make the NEX-7 box looks so impressive. Hopefully it's like what you mentioned, a transition period.
