Sorry about that, it could possibly handled if it is a direct microSD adapter however, since we have that with the Xperia NX in Japan

Maybe in the future, when battery voltages go beyond 4.5V, we would be able to sustain things like a full size SD or a CF card file transfer

Also, be sure its not a multicard reader, use a dedicated card reader, like a microSD reader for microSD cards

Technicalities, I know, they're bothersome

Anyways, I'll feedback what you guys have here back to the company...

Lol, why mac..been mac user for many many years. In the design business. SO mac has always been friendly.

I did use a single card reader with the otg cable.

btw x's don't have micro SD card too I'm puzzled

Problem about including a mSD card slot would be speed.

It'll slow performance down a lot especially when using cheap mSD cards, and is a potential drain on battery power

Let's not forget that mSDcards, cheap ones of low class rating, cannot keep up with FHD 1080p recording and rapid bursts fromt he camera, and mHD of high class ratings have poor burst speeds (aka app launch times)

The internal storage of the XS was designed with power usage reduction in mind, along with a memory type different compared to the ones in mSD cards - It boasts superior burst speeds and offers reads/writes faster than -ANY- class 10 cards out in the market

Also, Google themselves are shying away from mSD cards from Gingerbread onwards, and have built their codes in that way starting from ICS

The XS, built with ICS in mind, got rid of the mSD slot for this reason

I'll have to get back to you on that, never tried any HDMI -> RCA converter before, but in theory, it should work

I'll have to find the peripherals on my own however, since I have no such supplies in the office

The XS does support the Livedock, however, the Livedock does not have HDMI out functions. The Livedock I speak of is the same one built for the Xperia arc S here

As for a digital lineout for the purpose of a DAC/amp, I'm afraid there's no way to at present, not unless you go AOSP
