I tried the Xperia S earlier, and I have to say the ergonomics is a lot better than the Arc S or Arc. I don't care what any of you say, but the Arc S had HORRENDOUS ergonomics and felt like I was holding onto deformed brick with the worthless curves that did not make things better. The Xperia S on the other hand felt right in my hands.

Sony has a gem on their hands this time for once. I wonder if this was due to the lack of Ericsson's engineers meddling this time?

I thought you said Arc S is not bad and you're getting it for your mom?

Xperia S was ericsson engineers last project. This was pretty much a ericsson phone until Sony bought over the ownership and promote this under the standalone sony brand. :D :D

Yeah, that was until I held it, and my mom also tried it at the shop. Didn't get it in the end because it was quite awkward to hold.

:s13: Seems like when the finally did something right, the partnership disappears.

No way man, my mom's hands are very small, she also didn't like the Arc S. Good thing I didn't buy for her yet. Most likely will look for something else. And yeah, the XS is quite heavy, but that is 99% due to the material used for the phone. There's never a pretty compromise between weight and build material, you either go full plastic like Samsung, or you do something like Sony.

You guys haven't seen the insane power of ICS yet. Almost every app that is already optimized for ICS hardware acceleration FLIES. It freakin' flies. When these new generation of phones, be it Samsung, Sony or even Motorola finally get ICS, I can safely say interface lag won't be that much of an issue anymore. It will be down to a brand preference.

The ICS leak for my Note, 6 home screens, 7 scrolling widgets at 5x5, NO LAG. This was something not possible on ADW EX on my Gingerbread Note. That micro-stuttering you see on the Xperia S? You won't see it much longer when it gets ICS. :D
