Op3 isn't much of an upgrade except for the CPU. The 6gb ram just isn't necessary at this point. They could have thrown in a bigger battery at least to make it stand out on battery life but didn't.

Screen is amoled but not as good as the 2k screen on 6p plus the 6p have bigger battery to offset for the screen. Front facing speakers also nice on the 6p. Camera on 6p is great too but mediocre on the op3. Overall, it's a mediocre device but the 6p will have the latest N faster than any phones so it's hard to justify this as an upgrade but it's just my 2c thought

If i am not wrong, this is a basic feature in CM 12.1 & CM 13. So any phone with custom rom of cm 13 can have this feature.

No built-in capactive on the device. They opting only on-screen button. No offer user other choice.

Actually HTC got many devices with capacitive buttons not just HTC 10, e.g., HTC One M7, desire series, etc. For other brands, e.g., Asus, Same Song also got capacitive buttons.

Did not see any flagship mentioned regarding capacitive buttons discussion. Anyway, HTC One M7 was a flagship. S7 series are flagships. Asus Zenfone 3 (deluxe) is also flagship.

All hope isn't lost, however. Pei says that the company has released the necessary files to create ROMs for the OnePlus 3, with a parameter that can be modified to take full advantage of the 6 GB of RAM. XDA has also published a possible fix for the issue, but Pei says it's not a proper fix.

Sadly, the "proper" fix, as far as OnePlus is concerned, is to use a third-party ROM for the brand new smartphone that has the proper bits enabled. Which means that less technical users will have to bend over backwards to be able to fully use the hardware that they have paid for in the first place.

Lol so the extra 2GB of ram is pretty much a marketing gimmick for now

Start reloading after 3 to 4 apps? Even With 3gb ram can do better than that with over 10 apps at least.

If "enabling" the Ram draws even more battery from the already pretty bad battery life. What's left? I guess op3 is depending on xda developers to do their job for them.

Having said that, snapdragon 820 are not known to be battery friendly either. If want better and more efficient battery management, you have to look somewhere.
