Do I need to root my device to flash OxygenOS?

No, however your phone needs to be unlocked.

To _flash_, not to install from local storage option/sideload (install from USB option). This has been the case since OP2. Anyway, the issue was, the other guy couldn't even get into recovery. Unlocking is not needed to boot into recovery.

US Set have 4g+ band.
But China set no issue since 4G+ is not really that relevant here.

Only thing i can think of is China is using Hydrogen OS and rest of world using Oxygen OS, so you may need to flash Oxygen OS

applied the protectors, tried two types last evening.

both are ok but I personally prefer the wet application one cos it sticks to the curved edges better..

very very very hard to remove the protective layer after applying the protector on the phone so that's my main gripe.

anyway the protector is still not perfect, but I suspect could be my own skill issue..

Hey bro... This is SP right not TG ?

Im looking for new TG.... Using the carcoki TG recommended from a few bros here till i drop my phone the another day.... The whole TG pop right off.... Now alot of dust on the screen adhesive... LOL...
So thinking to change my TG now...
