What nice features in OP5 you guys personally find to be highly useful?

For me:
1) Auto switch on / Alarm works after off-ing phone.
2) Front fingerprint sensor for screen-on. Can't imagine if the sensor at the back.
3) Screen capture of entire screen (even when it is scroll-able). Super cool.
Double tap to wake
Gesture controls(Eg. Draw V to open flash light, 3 fingers swipe for screenshot)

For 2), u might be surprised that the fingerprint being at the back isn't that bad if you use it in conjunction with Face Unlock. I have a 5T and compared to my prev 3T, I find that I hardly use the fingerprint scanner to wake the phone up. I use a flip cover which has the magnet inside so it turns on the screen when i flip it open. I just wait for 0.5 sec for the face unlock to work and bam! I'm unlocked.
Last time with my 3T I still got to open the cover, touch my thumb on the front fingerprint scanner, then it'll unlock.

but your usage might vary. U might be using a normal non-flip casing with your phone on the table at a distance so front facing fingerprint will probably be faster than double tapping the screen and moving your face in front of the front cam.

Yap, i think the latter case is more applicable to me. Good that the 5T's sensor position is working out great for you.

Still I await eagerly the face unlock feature in the 5. haha

Doesn't the OP5 already have this in the oreo beta already?

How does your ip7 outperform OP5? Benchmarks?

Are benchmarks indicative of real world?

DID u actually try using both in real world side by side and compare?

I used my OP5 side by side my friends ip 8 plus, EVERYTHING LOADED FASTER.

IOs animations are so dated, the ram cannot keep up no matter how u optimize it.

have not compare side by side though

been using ip7+as my main tool
after getting op5(8GB RAM ver.)
play my regular game on it a week, touchscreen not as responsive as ip7+
imdb, facebook will freeze, need to kill the app amd launch again
in the end cannot tahan, move back to ios, games run smoother, more responsive

try to use it as my main phone,
first few days, notice battery is awesome
a week later, perforamance a bit drop, especially after updated to oreo

only good thing is the camera, shoot in pro mode, edit raw

other than that, keep it in bag, as a spare phone

oh ya, the fast charging is awesome too

for me, customization and all not important to me
my main concern for a performance phone is when use the app, if have to be snappy
browser, facebook, imdb, wechat... muz be responsive
animation and all, i rather disable it for longer batt life

I think it is very plausible that some games are more optimized on IOS than Android (esp new version of Android).

Mind sharing what game was it that wasn't responsive on the OP5 in your test?

“Tower of Saviors” - like candy crash, can sense control lag, compare to ios

imho, ip7+ outperform op5 in performance of all the apps i use

Just buy the oneplus screen protector. Best. Drop so many times still flawless
Mine is good as well just that a bit of effort to remove to bubbles. The only complain is that the side are "cut" off by the black bezel of the protector. Wondering why they make it black instead of transparent while bezel.

The fact that android doesn't have as high ram compression is because it doesn't have the tech, not because only android has multitasking or background app running function.

In fact, IOS has split screen function, just not on iPhone but on ipad. It is therefore a design choice, not a technical limitation.

IOS also allows background processes, just that it is more regulated than in the case of android. Regulation is better for user here in order to preclude rogue apps from wasting resources. See https://www.pervasive-intelligence.co.uk/news/42

I think you have mistaken what i meant. Google obviously have the technology if they chose to do that but it's the natural of Android and the more "liberal" (less restrictive) way of running apps/services that's why compressing apps in the background deem unnecessary when services running in the background are just like they are needed in the foreground.

When you mentioned iPad having split screen means the apps running on the split screens are in the foreground and not in the background while I'm specifically saying when apps are heavily compressed in the background.

Also I did mention that iOS can run apps simultaneously it's just very very limited which comes to the point of it not being truly multitasking. What i meant by true multitasking is you can run many services in the background and gave a typical eg of running a torrent service in the background downloading/seeding stuff, you can also have a webserver running to host a site (on your phone) while you are playing games simultaneously. Many services can be running in the background depending on the what you want your phone to do that's what I meant by true multitasking. While this isn't true for iOS as you have further pointed that they are heavily regulated by Apple that only certain apps can run.

Reallyy.... Interesting. All my friends on iPhone 8 and x complaining how the phone slows down over time, always running out of battery and looking for charger and power bank...

My oneplus doesn't have any of the issues with hanging you are talking about.. Are u sure there isn't a rogue app causing this?
