Note 8 will be a S8+ with dual camera. Price wise, it will def cost more than a OP5. In term of hardware and features wise, i would say note 8 will be a few notch above OP5. And in term of warranty, note 8 have local warranty.

If you can't decide between a OP5 and a S8+ and want to see how the note 8 will perform, i would just tell you to save the money and skip this OP5 and just go straight to the note 8.

You asked a lot of questions on the OP5 and still have doubts, then this phone isn't for you in the first place. :o

My honest opinion la.

Been using this awesome fone on m1 for e past few days and loving it so far. E jelly effect is there and not having 4g+ isn't a deal breaker for me as i dun see the need nor difference for it. So long as there's 4g/3g mode for dual sim use i am ok
I tested my Nexus 6p on M1 network only 4G download abt 50mbps while Zenfone 3 m1 4G+ download is abt 98mbps at my home. So 4G and 4G+ speed difference abt half. Tested both at home, same location n timing.

Note 8 will also have Touchwiz, which whatever Samsung says, will slow down like a bitch after Samsung releases their next generation.

Your camera app open speed will dramatically slow down, your battery life will drop with the software updates.

Oneplus, Xiaomi phones age MUCH better than Samsungs

But if you're like me and change phone every few months, this won't really affect u la :p

Someone announce something exciting doesn't mean have to change one leh, see whether it appeals to you not. New doesn't mean good.

Actually TouchWiz cleaned up a lot already. I kind of like their UX design tbh, starting with the grace UX they implemented in note 7. Was gonna get the coral blue but then it exploded. If you're comparing s8 with op5, definitely the op5 will have advantage cause of the oxygen OS and the beefy specs haha. Tried my friend's S8, not bad but maybe used to rectangular screen and the normal aspect ratio. The elongated screen feels weird haha but design wise, really nice but can feel microstutterings uh from time to time.

yup they cleaned up a lot. Since the Note 5 they did that actually. Much, much better than before.

But it still doesn't age well, as much as it has improved it's still far too much skinning.

first impression in your first few weeks, and how the phone OS ages over a few months can be VERY DIFFERENT.

Read this, very good article about Samsung S8: https://www.cnet.com/news/reasons-not-to-buy-samsung-galaxy-s8-editorial/

I agree with you Jacky bro, my initial impression of s8 is like bad cause I played the demo, Super lag all around. Then I played with my Friend's one. Totally different experience, much better! Hahaha yes, I also heard before the OS getting slow over time. But during my usage with the OP5 ytd, Really quite a delight to use!

Yup with Samsung because it's 4gb ram and a bloated OS, if your friends phone didn't have many apps running at that time it might have run really smoothly, whereas the demo set in the shop might have been running a lot of stuff.

Oneplus, 8gb ram and really optimized OS, flies like a beast all the time.
