You can install "Oxygen Updater" from Play Store and it will find the latest update that you can download and update (need to reboot to Recovery) but it's not an "official" OnePlus app. I found this info from OnePlus forum and have used it myself.
Read through the forum on the cons of purchasing from Lazada saying that the warranty is almost non existent.
Has anyone here had major issues with their oneplus 5? Was wondering if the warranty is necessary
If not, will just go grab a unit from Qoo10 or the shops that carry.
Now about 600ish, is it worth it?
Thanks!
My OnePlus 5 came w a paint chip along the camera ring, thankfully after going through rounds of incompetent CS one of them got me through and replaced it by the next week. Warranty is not completely non-existent, issues such as camera not focusing, touch screen not being able to register touches and audio jack not working (for example) can be covered under warranty. But the process will take up to a week probably. And theres no one you can talk to beforehand online or over the phone if you want to check if the issue can be claimed by warranty. So its your taiji if you go down and they dont accept the fault.
