i'm currently using Insurrection Pure II daily as I find it super similar to Creed Aventus that I keep for special occasions. Others I use are Terre D'Hermes and Mont Blanc Legend.

this is very informative!
Can you sexpert advise me what should i get for daily use (work plus go out)? I always like something that last long because i cannot reapply them during the day.
I will definitely try D&G the one and I thought of replenishing YSL L'homme. plan to buy in duty free.

currently I have:
Yves Saint Laurent L'homme (left 30%)
Chanel Allure Homme Sport EAU extreme (left 80%)
Chanel Allure Homme Blanche (left 10-20%)
Bleu de Chanel (left 5%)

Finished:
Davidoff coolwater
Dior Fahrntheit
Chanel Allure Homme

u should try versace eros. i personally like it and the smell last like whole day.

Hi there, definitely no sexpert here, just very free to read up and occasionally smell fragrances :)

For reapplication, get a travel atomizer (Qoo10) and refresh it at the bathroom.

You may want to give D&G The One a try on your skin first, the projection and longevity is disappointing for many people. Nonetheless, a great scent.

Perhaps you can consider:

Versace pour Homme (Refreshing, sharp lemon. Very nice scent trail, good in the heat and office.)

Versace Man Eau Fraiche (Sour white lemon. One of the top summer heat fragrance. Best used for outdoors.)

Dior Homme Sport (Sweet and a little creamy with iris notes that are found in makeup products. A 'classy' scent to me.)

Alternatives are Mont Blanc Legend/Individuel/Starwalker, Lacoste pour Homme/ Lacoste White, Armani Code.

Hi, smell is very subjective, so it's best to head over to stores and go through them slowly.

Maybe you can start off with some popular, well-liked ones such as:

Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme
Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio
Versace pour Homme/Versace Eau Fraiche
Hugo Boss Boss Bottled

To smell fragrances, any stores with displayed testers will do e.g. Sasa, Sephora, BHG, Tangs

To buy them at better prices:
Perfume Bar (Chinatown)
Jasina Cosmetics (City Hall area)
Perfume Forever (Jurong Point)

Versace pour Homme and Boss Bottled will cost about $65 in these stores.

If you are on an even stricter budget, maybe go for cheap fresh fragrances such as Azzaro Chrome/ Chrome Legend, Nautica's Voyage (around $40) - try finding these in the listed shops above, Sasa Sephora etc do not carry them.

Can ask the shop assistant to give you some recommendations too.

If you like a fragrance, spray it on your skin and walk around for a few hours to test longevity/projection before buying it. Alternatively, google for other peoples' review and experience with the fragrance.

Good luck on your fragrance journey :)

I don't know what you guys think but I am now love struck by TF Neroli Portofino and has not been using the rest of my scents for almost half a year, not even the Aventus/GIT nor Encre Noir lol

Anyone know of any 4711 cologne with more lasting power? That nostalgic scent which reminds me of some hotels I've went to when I'm barely 10 years old and is having all the fun in the world...

ended up bought chanel de bleu and allure homme blanc edition (both EDP)! hope it last better because both of my older bottle are EDT, EDP smells a little different thou and more ex

EDP need not necessarily last longer than EDT, so since I prefer EDT's smell I just buy EDT :)

You gotta sit thru a session with them.

First tell them what kinda scent you like. Fruity, Woody, etc etc.. Then they may ask is it for work, evening, after sports etc etc.

They will sit you through a few they choose to these stuff. Tell you stories about the parfume. Spray on you to test. They let you sit as long as you like.

Some tea or drinks to clear your 'palate'. Then they will smell the stuff on you. But well, they will recommend but not choose for you. For my case in London, they make sound judgement. They are the pros anyway. Go with an open heart, i havent tried the ones in Ion or MBS. They are always pack, so make an appointment b4 you go.

Then lastly, if you like it. Buy it. I recommend you even if you dont buy it. Get 2-3 samples to test on you. That is what i did whenever i choose a new scent from them. If it is good. I will get it the next time. They will understand. But if you really like it. Just get it.
