The dior homme sport? Yea, they gonna take out the iris and the ginger note. It's all very confusing what dior is doing here. If I don't feel like wearing the ginger note I can always go for dior homme cologne. But now they even take out the iris. How can it be called dior homme if there's no iris in there lol. Shall keep my reservation about this until I test it out, gonna treat it as a brand new perfume. Until then I'm happy with dhs 2012 and dior homme cologne

That's likely the case for most consumers. I tend to go back to those shops or individuals I trust whether for bottle or decants, even in carousell.

There are quite a number of fake perfume going around these days, doesn't hurt to be too careful.

True. Though do all frags get duped or just the popular ones. I wouldnt bother buying hyped frags on Carousell unless from a frag enthusiast. Alot found some lobang to get AAAAAA quality and want to make a buck.

Interesting to see the marketing mentality behind bottles that are refillable (L'Envol de Cartier, Mugler's Angel, the first Baldessarini etc); seems like they want you to pick one scent and stick to it

I buy it for the bottle.
At the rate I'm buying, I doubt I will ever finish the bottle unless I like it very much.

Chanel is rampant, along with some best sellers from various brands, lately there's one with pic of real perfume but send fake goods. Niche fakes are uncommon but lately I heard there's fake Jo Malone and byredo even...

The fact that a clone exists should be insulting to a niche brand. Niche is supposed to be unique and epitome of taste and luxury. Limit the distribution to a bare minimum.

fell for the hype man. Should test and test before buying. Better trying unknown designers. never know which may work well.

I can absolutely live with the existence of clones, if there is a clone that can smell at least 95% alike to the actual perfume and cost much much lesser I will get the clone without a doubt.

Fake colognes aimed to trick people into buying what they think is the real deal, on another hand is totally unacceptable for me.

I using Dior sauvage and I buy from tangs.
Get 6% rebate cos tangs member and I ask for samples.

Cos I have difficulty telling fake perfume apart.
Did read that the serial number on bottle and box must match but usually nobody will allow you to open a BNIB perfume just to check the serial number

As in remove the plastic on the perfume box

I have a decant of this and used it a couple of times and can confirm it does project and performance is good at around 6-8 hours for me.

Clones are the lesser of 2 evils. Is like Zara who copy high end luxury designs. If it's so easy to copy with same materials, shouldn't the luxury just charge Zara prices? Thats another con

If that was done, the AAAA grade wont exist as a result as well. If Bleu de Chanel was charged at 50 bucks rather than 150, a fake 40 dollar bottle wont exist.

Absolutely nothing wrong there, u can copyright the brand, the bottle design, the packaging box. But you cannot copyright smells or ingredients used. If other people can produce the same smell with the same ingredients but charge it at a much lesser price, u can't stop them from selling it under another brand. And Imo it's a win win situation for consumers, for practical people like me I will get the clone, for those who love branded stuffs they can always buy the 'original:
