The cooler weather these few days is allowing heavier fragrances to be put into rotation.
Chanel’s Egoiste (not Platinum) works well :D

Btw, where can L’Artisan Parfumeur be found these days in retail?

The details.. it's at 6 jalan kilang, place wasn't crowded earlier but operations were chaotic because of their cheaper, faster, better (but brainless) labour. Prices were either vague on label, missing on items or mismatching at cashier, leading to long delays during each payment since they had to run out to verify the prices as claimed by buyers.

Anyone bought from bonjour cosmetic before? I was trying to google for the perfume shop in Bencoolen then this name pops up. The pricings seem too good to be true...
Azzaro Chrome*tester is at $31... Anyone know?

They have been around for a very long time. They have a warehouse and 2 retail outlets. They also sell on qoo10. Been to their outlet at yue hwa b4 and encountered ****** up service from their PRC staff so ended up not buying anything. As to whether they are legit and why the prices seem too good to be true, its more a case of highly marked up prices by those big time retailers and boutiques.

Being the cheapskate that i am, i only buy testers from qoo10. Recently i bought 1x Mont blanc legend and 1x L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme testers and paid below $20 each after utilising discount coupons. I compared the bottle, cap and labels with the actual retail bottles sold at Sephora and its 100% exactly the same. For both i get a good 3-4 hours of projection and at the price i bought them for, i would have no qualms bathing in them, let alone reapplying when needed. Can i say with 100% certainty these are not fakes? Not without knowing exactly where the seller got their stock from. But this is a risk i am willing to take to save a fair amount of dollars.

If you see that the plastic packaging has labels from the big name authorised distributors like Luxasia, L S Cosmetics, Clarins - they would be the real deal (save for the remote chance of anyone faking such labels). For those without such labels (seems to be the majority of the frags sold at such shops), then your guess is as good as mine....Just be discerning when getting the more premium brands like Chanel or Dior, or trending crowd favourites.

Do note that even if authentic, the reason for the low prices are due to the goods being grey market items. Most of the time these frags are not very new stocks, and they could be manufactured six, seven years ago (or even more, esp if what you are getting is not a new model). Do develop an understanding of the batch numbers and use the checkfresh website as a reference though it is not the be-all and end-all guide.

Do note that the above is not specific to Bonjour but just a general view on frags sold by individual shops (i.e, those that are not sold by major dept stores or distributors) all around the world.

Has anyone tried to buy from Notino? A friend of mine is the US currently, tried to checkout but seems Notino requires US issued credit card coz it only has an option for US address under billing details.

Hi guys, am looking for a woody fragrance that projects and lasts well. Any recommendations?

Have tried a few but performance is lacking in either aspect. To name some I've tried, pure wood, diptyque tam dao, cdg wonderwood.

Really liked tam dao, but it just stays tooooo close to my skin. To the extend I have to raise my elbow to smell it

Try AdP Colonia Intensa or CDG Monocle 02 Laurel.
Think Tan Dao is available in EDP strength too?

Happened to be at Bugis+ and saw a perfume shop at level 3. Asked about Azzaro Chrome, he says only has 1 last bottle of tester. Quoted me $48, I hesitated. Then he offered $40, deal. :p

But how do I tell the authenticity or production period? I asked, of course he claims very new. Which seller will say old stock.... Haha

Hi there, $40 is a fair price. Congrats and hope u like Chrome!

With regard to authenticity, a school of thought (from Fragrantica forums) is that there don't seem to be too many fake testers around. Do note that it is anecdotal observation though. Moreover, for Chrome (which is considered a "cheapie" frag), there are not many reports of fakes (at least I haven't heard of any).

On production date, hmmm that's really a tough one - not helped by the fact that many testers wouldn't have batch numbers on them. If you see any batch no. on your tester, u can try your luck on websites like checkfresh or checkcosmetics.

Feel its quite okay personally cos at least it's not a dark/oud kind of fragrance, so the intensity at the onset shouldn't be that overbearing. Maybe try reducing the number of sprays to suit you better?
