Anyone tried forment perfume before? There was quite a bit of advertisement from Korea recently. Wonder how nice it smells.

Anyone knows where to buy it and the price? Thanks in advance! :s12:

I have seen the topic of "where to buy" getting broached in this thread repeatedly in an ad nauseam way. To such an extreme that the rate of repetition is once every 3 pages. :s22:

Some of the discussion is rather futile IMHO. Let's not be self righteous and assume that everyone needs to get the "cheapest deal" always. Internet shopping might be "convenient" to you but others may view that buying at the brick and mortar is more trouble-free (e.g., they work or live near a retail store? - we would never know or understand), and provides them with more gratification. There are also many people who might want to support our local retail industry too. Also, what is "expensive" to you might not be expensive to some people. Different stroke for different folks. What floats your boat can't float that of others.

Some basic facts of life. Cheers.

Not to troll or flame but does it make more sense to ask or share where to buy the cheapest authentic fragrances or where to buy the most overpriced? The very point of forums are for discussions, asking questions and sharing of knowledge. Not expecting everyone to see things the same and its entirely fine to disagree as long we keep things civil here.

If one finds the topics being discussed here not worthy of their contribution, then by all means stay away. No offence but I think the very definition of 'self righteous' is when someone tried to impose or put a full stop on topics they deem 'futile' or 'repetitive'. This is a 12 year old, hardly active thread. If we gonna start filtering what should or should not be discussed, then this thread is good as dead.

You missed my point and I'm a bit too tired to expound it for you. Sorry. Anyhow, I have no intention to stop any discussion here.

yup i get what you mean.
some people feel online shopping is convenient, just click, pay and delivery will come.
to me, i find it time consuming to search, compare online merchants to find the 'cheapest' deal.
in addition, have to arrange for courier to come at a time when I am at home, or having to deal with returns if any.
a waste of time.

to me, there is never the 'best' deal, only what you are ok with.
i buy at what price i am ok with, just enjoy it.
dont bother if elsewhere is cheaper cos i already bought it.
i just want to use it, enjoy it, no need to wait.

i dont think $217 for 100ml bottle is expensive cos i shopped at Dior Homme Ion Orchard on several occasions before, buying jeans, belts, wallet. The sales assoc introduced me to Maison Christian Dior exceptional perfumes which are much more expensive than Dior Sauvage and that was how i came to know about their Maison perfumes.

for perfume, i am particular about manufacture date.
i dont want those bottles sitting for several months.
my current bottle was only manufactured 2 months ago.

i just go and buy at the store when i am in orchard.
i have been buying at tangs since 2014.
once, i paid upfront and they gave me 1ml vials and 10ml bottles when they didnt have the biggest bottle at that point of time.
they then called me to collect a week later but i was not in a hurry and only collected when i went to orchard a month later.

Well. To each his own. All 3 got both their love and haters. Best to try it out and pick the one you prefer.

Personally, Prada Carbon > Dior Sauvage (all 3)

I see all youtube comparison. All said EDP better then EDT and P

Yes, different strokes for different folks, to put it succinctly. We can never impose our personal preferences or ideals on others.

Mine is nov 2019... initially abit disappointed with the smell... but it slowly grow in me.. this what i like..

Nice, some people on Fragrantica are comparing the latest batches to actual Aventus. Smoother, lemon cleaner smell gone, etc. Not sure how true is it but if I ever pick up a bottle I'll be looking for something more current :s13:

Armaf recently released a new Bucephalus range with

Bucephalus IX being clone of Bleu De Chanel
Bucephalus X being clone of Paco Rabanne Invictus
Buecephalus XI being another attempt at cloning Creed Aventus

I have the Bucephalus X and i would say its 90-95% similar to the Invictus, with the armaf being sweeter. Decent projection but poor longevity with very quick dry down to a close skin smell after less than 2 hours.

You may want search for youtube reviews of the Buecephalus XI. Consensus seem to be the Buecephalus XI is more pineapple/fruity smelling compared to the citrus bomb that is CDNIM. Buecephalus XI costs slightly more than CDNIM.

Personally, i feel there is too much variance in quality between CDNIM batches for it to be a safe blind buy. The safest blind buy for a Aventus clone for me would be the Afnan Supremacy Silver, but likely at the cost of longevity compared to CDNIM.

I got a 5ml decant of it and was considering getting a full bottle, but I ultimately decided it's not for me. There's something about the iris and amber that makes me like and dislike it at the same time. Are you using it now?

Hm no need to throw away yet. Do a spot test and see if you get any reaction. Not saying it's 100% safe to use it if you don't get any reaction (because it's still fake and probably unregulated), but then you can make the decision whether you wanna take the risk and use it if you like how it smells. If there's any big danger in them, I believe the operation would have already been clamped down, but they have been around for some time.

Nope, i just see they say it's the best fragrance for office men.
I feel my Dior Sauvage is too strong.

I agree it's classy and professional, not really something you can pull off if you're in a super casual outfit. Definitely try it out. Luckily it's easy to sample cause testers are everywhere.

I went to Mustafa a few weeks back and was put off by how all the testers are there but none of them had the atomizer caps. Left within an hour :s22:

I have the Bucephalus XI (bought all 3), and I also have Creed Aventus, Al Haramain L’Aventure, Afnan Supremacy Silver and CDNIM (2019).

I can tell you Bucephalus does not smell like Aventus. Hence the reason I’m not selling. It’s darker and sweeter and performs far better. It’s got elements of Aventus, but is in no way an Aventus clone.

Afnan Supremacy Silver is very close to the real thing, but overall, I’d pick L’Aventure as a clone choice. It just smells higher quality though it doesn’t last as long as CDNIM. Supremacy’s performance is lousy. You can go 10 sprays and it’ll still disappear in a couple of hours.
