I've bought Le Labo before from Escentuals Paragon.
They even carried some of the city specials once. The Tokyo/Gaiac one is lovely.

yeah was referring to the comment that they smelt a few guys in sauvage at zouk.

eros is definitely night time. no way you can wear that in an office setting.
another interesting office scent to consider (especially if you're in the creative field) is the shanghai tang line. really soft scent but really nicely done. there's an orange one which is jade dragon or mandarin tea. not sure if anyone has tried it but wow[/QUOTS

At where can u try out the shanghai tang line ? I've been dying to try out a few houses. By kilian back to black and le labo bergamote 22. Haven't seen these 2 houses in sg yet:s11:

few places ie raffles shanghai tang shop and good ol tangs and taka
i smelt it at taka when it first came out and i was impressed. i have smelt this scent in many traditional chinese shops but there was a certain european quality to it which i was impressed with.

The bottles look like this

Call me weird but I have a new love - Narcisco Rodriguez For Men EDT & EDP

The EDT is more muskier and brighter, good for any occasion and weather.

The EDP on the other hand is softer, sweeter and warmer - its a great date scent and it has the ability to perfume my throat area with a sweet floral leather musk that my gf REALLY likes.

Interesting, but when I got to the link for the company, I do not see any physical outlets, do you know where they are being sold? would be interesting to smell/test.

Sorry I had the same question as you too. Apparently they are going through Lazada.

Oh I've smelled the EDT last week, reminded me of Salvatore Ferragamo uomo casual life which I have. Did u tried the Bleu noir ? Supposedly smells like Terre d Hermes

I tried the Bleu Noir - I can see where you're coming from as both Terre and Bleu has the same cedar wood drydown, but Bleu is all about the musk layered under the bright opening notes while Terre has more of the bitter citrus floral character which makes it a bit more casual.

Anyways I think I'm in love with the whole Narciso Rodriguez line. All 3 - the EDT, EDP and Bleu Noir will be something that I will reach out for daily use. Kinda 1% giddy that I slept on this line for a long time and found that all 3 really suits my tastes. Good price too - I think I can score about $110 for 100ml!

As a follow up, I might need to replace my old bottle of Dior Homme EDT which was my favorite for the longest.

Of these which one is most similar? Anyone care to comment?
  • Valentino Uomo
  • Valentino Uomo Intense
  • CH Men
  • CH Men Prive

Seems like current DH smells a bit off when I tried it out at Sephora.

The old 2008 DH which I had previously has stronger heavier notes it seems.

Or rather, is the new DH Intense EDP better than any of the rest?

Let me know your thoughts!

You can probably skip the CH Men/Prive...

The oldest formula for DH is known to have the most iris, thus the most powdery version among all formulations.

From hearsay, DH got reformulated to tone down the iris ~6 years ago because it was too feminine, so it is not surprising that you found the DH in Sephora to be "off", because well it's a different formula after all.

Current DH is probably closest to the 2008 DH you had because of the iris which is still present. Valentino Uomo is known to be similar to DH but without the iris. The perfumer for the old DH and Valentino Uomo are the same. I haven't smelled Valentino Uomo Intense though.

On a side note I wore Dior Homme Parfum just a week ago and loved it. But definitely different from all of the ones you mentioned.
