Profumo adds an incense and patchouli note to it that makes it smell slightly smoky. It's interesting because you can clearly smell that the ADG DNA underneath, almost like laying a bedsheet (the smoky notes) over the mattress (the original DNA). The smoky notes make it for me, so I prefer Profumo over the original. There are a lot of great fragrances on the market these days, and the original ADG would be boring and not have anything unique to bring to the table IMHO.

ADG is supposed to be super popular, but not many people wear fragrances here, and based on observations from the peeps here, people in CBD seem to always gravitate towards BDC and Sauvage anyway. See which one you prefer.

Haven't tried ADG on my skin before, but Profumo definitely lasts long and projects on me. One of those fragrances where it can last you a whole day easily.

You can try Sephora. Some stores only have the box, others have the tester also. Haven't seen it anywhere else, but also maybe because I wasn't really looking haha

First off, not sure why you are migrating to only EDP.

Concentration as mentioned by others earlier doesn't relate to longevity/sillage of the fragrance. It is not a guarantee, nowadays. An example I can find is Acqua di parma colonia Essenza EDC. Longevity surpass many EDT and even EDP of other fragrance.

Montale intense cafe and Mancera Cedrat Boise, both EDP surpass many Parfum/extrait concentration in the market.

I got the profumo special blend and it last decently long, and with good sillage. At the 7th hour mark people still can smell it within arm's length.

Got bvlgari MiB and I'll say it's similar to spicebomb by V&R

SB is more spicy, MiB is more sensual.

ADG OG: dated. Recent bottles has poor longevity.

ADG P: One of ADG flankers. Added with incense notes for a smokier direction. Best or 2nd best flanker release. The other being Essenza.

I'll say it's 90% similar to the OG. The 10% is due to the incense note.

I recommend discounters like fragrancex. So far, they sell for the cheapest for all my purchases. Second being strawberrynet.

Anyone tried and can give feedback on BVLGARI Man Extreme EDT? Any difference between this comapred to BVLGARI Man In Black EDP?

And what's the difference between Armani's Acqua Di Gio EDT and Acqua Di Gio Profumo parfum?

I am considering in getting one of these, which would you guys recommend and which one will have a longer longevity? Thanks!

I just recalled that I've seen ADG Profumo at Metro before. Have you tried there? Profumo can be used as a daily driver or special occasion. Really it's up to what you think about the fragrance. For me it's daily driver worthy, but definitely not something I'd want if people are going to be stuck in close quarters with me cause this thing projects a fair bit.

How would you compare Special Blend to Profumo? I'm interested in the more prominent incense notes, but it seems it's not different enough to be worth the money. I believe it's a limited edition as well.

i prefer ACG EDT over profumo. the edt is simply more refreshing and clean for me. the incense dry down for the profumo is great, but its really a more simple fragrance for me with much lesser notes compared to the EDT, doesn't really last much longer being a EDP concentration.

actually edt edp how long it will last vary frm ppl to ppl, i think it is safe to say that assuming the same perfume but different concentrations, dior savage edt n edp etc, the edp version will last longer. smell wise might differ cuz usually edp huan the smell ish much “deeper” n they will add extra ingredients fr edp version.

if anyhuan noe whr can get pdm fragrance in sg let me know me finding as well

Ah forgot Tangs also has a Dior booth in there. Was rushing and they weren't open yet so I didn't check them out

Any reason why you're only looking for EDP? This write-up on the history of fragrances essentially concludes that there is no difference between cologne, EDT, EDP and parfum (it doesn't mention extrait) these days, and it's really up to what the houses wanna term their fragrance.

There are a few ways to understand the differences, such as concentrations, or that EDT lasts longer but doesn't project as well, etc., and the writeup dismisses them all to some extent. They work sometimes, but other times it's not so clear-cut.

This does fall in line with my observation that it's just a way for brands to introduce variations within a line.

It's really almost all for longevity and projection.

The EDP I had was amazing, I only had 1 EDP(Morris Motley Oakmoss) and it was clearly above my EDT(s) or I've made some wrong assumptions?

Wow didn't know Morris Motley made fragrances! I know them from their hair products haha.

Anyway, I just ran a search and it's an extrait, which is higher concentration than EDP (the whole EDC, EDT and EDP thing vs concentration issue aside) and should have better performance, all other things being equal.

Anyway, the previous link does mention that EDC, EDT and EDP don't necessarily refer to concentrations or performance. It's a convenience and useful generalization to make, but it's not foolproof.

I personally use Fragrantica to get a rough gauge of a fragrance's longevity. If something has been widely reported to have low longevity when I'm looking for an all-day scent, then I'll just strike it off the list.

Any online store recommendations to buy fragrances with competitive prices? Prefer to be from a local store if possible. Saw some websites like perfumestore.sg, bonjourcosmetics, fragrancecart and fragrance.sg but not sure if they are authentic.

I got an authentic bottle from Bonjour Cosmetics before, but again with discounters like them you can never be 100% sure that they're authentic. I considered paying another 50% more to get from a retailer, but nah haha
