Anybody actually joined the SG perfume group?I just got accepted,ran through their pages and actually told myself.."God,I joined the wrong group"

Guys!What...how does sandalwood supposed to smell like?I can't pinpoint that note in my frags at all.Feel like getting a sandalwood based frag just to learn about it.

Girls tend to dig vanilla scent as its an aphrodisiac...

For the moment I'm wearing green and vanilla scent tends to attract insects outfield so now i'm wearing those with insect repellent properties like resins/pine/cedar/frankincense...

Alamak bro,I'm not wearing for the ladies la.You should try Ulric de Varens Action,I reviewed that one recently.Dirty orange with vetiver,patch and cedar..opening kinda like bug spray with heavy pepper

My fav is from ADP Mandorlo Di Sicilia,really thick and creamy vanilla with almonds.I also love YSL's Opium and Bvlgari Black.

Don't think I need anymore vanilla based frags LOL!

Uh regarding sandalwood, in perfumes, it's usually milky, woody, soft and being a very good fixative, it's usually a basenote. To make it easier to differentiate, test a few scents at the store that has "santal" in its name and figure it out from the test strips after the top notes have vaporised.

From essential oil itself though, to me, it's woody, sharp and slightly medicinal.

Yea usually its a basenote probably the main reason I can't really tell.Cedar and vetiver not a problem...just sandalwood.

I actually hated it when I sampled it but I prefer the harsher pepper in UDV Action.

I don't actually need Dior Homme since I already have D600.

It's between DH and Lancome Hypnose.Anybody tried Hypnose before?
