Just look out for glass bottles with plastic external covers. either 5ml or 12ml. Not sure if it leaks because i never ever bring my atomisers out, heard positive feedback on it though. If it really leaks, wrap the screw-unscrew (i don't know the name for it) with teflon tape. Most perfume-enthusiasts do that when selling decants and shipping internationally.

Something like this.
How do you guys actually decant to this? Use pipet or spray directly?

BDC performance

Hey guys recently bought Bleu de chanel edt from airport.

I found that the longevity and scent differs from the one that I tried from my
friend significantly. When I tried on my friend's, one spray on my wrist lasted for days. Even after a few showers I could faintly smell it on my wrist. Also, I found that it had a more incense/woody smell to it which I really loved. The one I bought hardly lasts 5hrs and does not have the same smell.

Was told that his bottle was quite a few years old alr. I read that perfume "seasons" with use. Any other BDC owners find this to be the case? :s11:

How long have you had this perfume? If only a few days old, let it breathe for a while. Wait for a couple weeks and test again. Sounds funny but is kinda true for a few of my perfumes.

If 5ml or so I just directly spray in. If decanting like say, 30ml, best is to use syringe or pipet. But syringe method must be careful not to damage the "straw" of the bottle....

My BDC mfg date is from 2012. Lasts pretty long. I suppose yours is from 2015 aka reformed version.... Many complaints. Google "bleu de chanel reformulated". Think it was after 2014.

Anyone has sampled Tom Ford designer and private blend line?
Any feedback?

Their fragrances are great but mostly for cold weather. Their warm weather selections doesn't really stand out for the price.
Neroli portofino is just some overpriced version of 4711. I would take mugler cologne or cologne indelibile any day.

I think grey vetiver EDP is worth it though.

I've had it for a month or so but used a little of it only.. Really hoping it gets better with age. Any new buyers of BDC experience the same thing??

Just got a BDC EDP from USA few days back. Works great for me in our weather. I can spray in the am and last most of the day. Even as a skin scent it lasts long. The EDT doesnt cut it for me but works well for others. It may be the frag but also may be the type of skin.

fragrance longevity can be affected by numerous factors, below is taken from the net:

The oiler, the better:
We’re talking about skin here. Ever heard the saying ‘Every cloud has a silver lining?’ Well, for people perpetually plagued with pimple problems, here is their silver lining; perfume lasts longer on oily skin. So, if you have oily skin, you’re in luck for you’re sure to smell good for longer! Dry skin on the other hand causes perfume to dissipate faster. If you do have dry skin however, do not be disheartened for all is not lost yet. You can improve the staying power of your perfume by applying a bit of petroleum jelly on the spots where you’re going to squirt perfume. This will make your skin oiler and cause the aroma to last longer.

Tired olfactory receptors:
Often, we think that our perfume lasts only for as long as we can smell it. So, we think that we smell really good only for a couple of minutes after spraying perfume. However, the reality of the situation is quite different because of a phenomenon called nose fatigue, i.e. your nose gets immune to a specific scent if it is exposed to it for long. But, just because your olfactory senses cannot depict the scent anymore it doesn’t mean that others around you cannot detect it too. Hence, there is no need to douse yourself in perfume every couple of hours because you can be assured that the scent of your perfume still lingers on for quite a while after spraying it, at least for others!
