Hi guys, anyone has any idea why certain perfumes are so much cheaper at random shops?

About 60% cheaper compared to SASA.

for the "true market value" of a certain perfume, perhaps use fragrancex or dollars&scents at lucky plaza as a guideline. even your neighbourhood "beauty encounter" has decent deals for certain mass market frags. don't get ripped by sephora or SASA....

i'm not advertising but... for mass market fragrances fragrancex is probably the best... with free international shipping.

Most of the designer fragrances belong to a few parent companies.
So the lab where its created its all the same. Every brand under LVMH most probably creates at the same place.
To top it off these designer frags are all created by the same few perfumers. From Fragrantica you can see who created it. So before you get all excited shopping in the moment at Tangs, all they are is a retail experience provided by Filipinos :)
You pay upwards of 90 but in the grand scheme of thing per frag may cost between 5-10. Remaining goes to various levels of distribution etc. Niche costs more because of supposed higher quality of ingredients, in house supply chain and own distribution. But if end product is justified is great.

dont bother looking. no perfume retailers in Singapore carry hanae mori. I spent 1 week trying to find after getting aeroplaned by some guy here who wanted to sell me his used HM. End up another bro had a used bottle and he sold it to me.

I have some sampler 1ml spray bottles coming in the mail soon. You want? I can sell you. One sampler $2.50 :s12:

Looks like this.

Do you still have a sampler of this?

Also, guys, is EDP too overpowering in a climate like Singapore that EDT is preferred?

Or would you only choose EDP on scents that are light to give it a long lasting effect?

Comments welcomed.

I love that versace scent, however I would say that it's sometimes not powering enough to have people notice it. It's a good work day perfume but not for your girl's night out or date night.
