Is because people can afford it. By taking loans.

This is a typical ad.

$1700 x 12 months x 10 years = $204k.

As long as he can pay $1700 a month, he can drive a $200k car.

So if he / he & spouse take home >$7k celery, buyed a car is no problem.

They do not want to remove car rental companies from Cat A/B, more turn to car leasing, rental companies bid even more and pass the cost to customers.

Should also make COE be like housing stamp duties, cannot be bank loaned.

Means you no car, sorry

Fresh grads earn about $4k+ a month. Singapore produces 20,000 fresh grads a year.

They each merry a fellow fresh grad, immediate can chut a $200k car ā˜¹ļø

Yes they can immediately switch to PHV driver and contribute more to society.

$1700/month is not the base cost for owning a car. Need to factor in petrol / charging cost, road tax, insurance, maintenance, parking etc

Affording a car as a recent graduate can be incredibly challenging, particularly when balancing future goals like purchasing a home and starting a family.

Unless is DINK.

Nope. I owned a car as a fresh uni grad. Who thinks of getting merried??

Now fresh grads can also own a car. Salaries will rise each year no?
