Still have the Sony M4 with me ...

Anyway I factory resetted my n5 liao ... so far so good. No sleeping beauty yet.

Have you done a factory reset for your phone ?

i have done it all. normal reset, reset from android recovery machine. cleared cache from recovery too. i think it is happening lesser now. not much random restarts too for now. strangely. but im not complaining!

i would change a phone but there's nothing else with a pen for the phone with software designed to leverage on the inclusion of a pen on phone. otherwise i would have gotten a motorola in a heartbeat.

phone miraculously worked today...display is on.

Honestly the experience has been less than satisfactory so far. but at this point, am unable to replicate the problem yet..shall use it and monitor :slant:

Not sure if it's similar to the sleeping beauty issue which the ppl have been talking about? Phone is working but no display.

the display is off but it does come back on after a while. sometimes my phone resets. but it's happening lesser now.

For those who has sleeping beauty issue, do you all turn on "Screen off memo". I am wondering is the "Screen off memo" function causing the issue.

seeing those thread on xda, androidcentral... etc... or online... the fix for sleeping issue (or rather screen freeze in angmoh terms) is.. clear cache... but seems this is not the right solution (maybe temp solution) coz most of them still get the sleeping bugs after clearing cache...

until sammy iron out the real prob.. :(

I done it all also already. My sleeping beauty currently happens once a day.

That once a day is always at the most crucial time when I need to use the phone. My n5 is very good at it.

I think i changing to the Z5 when its out.

I wonder if the new Marshmallow will solve this issue cos doze, unlike deep sleep, will return your phone from standby immediately when you turn on your screen. That's what i read :p

hmmm... kitkat bohdaiji... after update to lollipop on my n3... weird weird.

At first, phone will pause when type sms/whatsapp, go fb... etc (but no sleeping issues, can wake up straight from sleep)... pause a little while like 2 or 5 sec regardless of what i typed, then suddenly all the wording come out.. so, i keep clear cache, clear cache... many times when i kena that... until now NO MORE pause issue liao, but the display keylight will sometime go off regardless is it ALWAYS ON in settings.

so, now n5 sleeping issue... what i think is lollipop issue..

I think it's more of app issues. I have similar thing like yours too. Type many words already nothing happen, then suddenly burst out. Now i got Note 5, offload most apps to Note 5 already my Note 3 no typing issue le, at least i haven't encounter yet. Also, my Note 3 was also stuttering and lag a lot until i clear RAM. Normally when it hit around 2.3gb to 2.4gb it will happen, but when i clear ram back to about 2gb the phone is damm smooth.

Now my Note 3 is very smooth and nice and still behave like a flagship, as long as i don't have that many things on it.

quote from digital trends: The Note 5 has really thin bezels on the sides and it’s very easy to accidentally press on the screen with part of your hand when you’re holding it. This can make it feel as though the screen is freezing. Try altering your grip, or use a case that stops you from touching the screen.

guys, did u all accidentally did this? :s13:

hi bros/sis.

can check if applying tempered glass protector affect the spen functionality?

as i know spen/screen can detect pressure and differ from the thickness of the strokes.

thank you.

hi all,

just like to check if the camera function has improved?

I'm unable to get a clear focus most of the times with my current note 3. Have to keep tapping many times for the auto focus. Either that or the pictures comes out not that clear. I do have shaky hands but I have no issues with taking clear pics using iphone or sony phones.

Yup Note 3 camera sucks overall. It takes great picture in bright light, one of the best but other than that, it sucks balls. No point if it only takes nice pics under optimal condition cos most of the time we take pics under non-optimal conditions. Note 5 has pretty much solved that.
