Bro, i did some testing on automate and macro droid on location based ringer settings. The phone must be unlocked before the ringer mode can be switched. Putting these apps on apps not optimized list doesn't allows the app to do what they intended. I think the lock screen that prevents any apps from changing anything once the phone is locked.

I've tested using automagic with location trigger outside of my home area with screen off. Flow sets wifi to off and ringer to max. It works as intended. However do note I've smart lock with my Pebble watch sync so phone do not need pattern or fingerprint unlock but just simple swipe to unlock

u sure or not

it doesnt auto greenify right

Auto greenify means it will re-greenify now and then?

Mine don't need to do all the time. At most once or twice a day? I only do when I feel my phone slows down, which hasn't really happened since my first greenify

He meant auto hibernate which only rooted phones can do with the screen off. For non rooted phone, you need to run the hibernate manually

Thanks. So it's really the security that's causing problems

haha look more like burning midnight oil doing torrent or having serious nightmare, no sleep at all:s13: ... btw thread so happening again:)

Edit:
hey Deckcard, what's your experience/thoughts on greenify aggressive doze?
I did the adb dump permission etc... but didnt follow thru to see if it really works.
btw to toggle flight mode, mobile data etc. can use Tasker>Autoinput to simulate screen press, no root required.

Haha yeah. I tried greenify and my phone seem to drain faster or no help at all. 1hr definitely eat between 2-3% battery. Looks like the Samsung smart manager already doing it's job and a factory reset is imminent.

Yes, this abnormal behaviour happens when apps go rogue and constantly drawing CPU cycles.. I am still in the process of narrowing if it is the Viber messaging that is causing that because I've not ran Viber (disabled) for a long time and up til my wife were out of town that I've re-enabled it to chat with her. Anyway, a reboot brought it back to normal but it happened again when I charged the phone so still testing stuff to see what happened there

I've used it a while ago on my N6P but was getting delayed in Whatsapp so I disabled that afterwards. But that was also the older version I was using so maybe they have fixed that?

With aggressive doze, it would not enter doze mode if the phone is not stationary on the table.. Pretty much like the google's implementation of MM doze using the motion sensor to check if the phone is not in use. Anyway, you need the latest beta if you want to test the DUMP command. That is supposed to allow AD even when phone is in motion. So use GSam monitor to track Doze in graph mode under Others.

Have you tried it? Found any bugs? Take special note on apps that wont work if they are not programmed to have Doze in mind. Also battery draining excessively. Anyway, I'll revisit this again later when they push the DUMP feature out in the stable version.

Dont have to ungreenify.. If you have issues, just turn off Aggressive Doze.. However, you do have a whitelist on disabling Battery Optimization for Whatsapp right? Also, in Whatsapp App setting, set whatsapp notification to High Priority

Also in regards to your previous questions on Samsung Optimize vs Greenify, I found this
http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...-optimize-greenify-bad-ones-battery-life.html

Nobody really knows what Samsung is doing because its not open source

huh.. what lay chey.. just disable AD only why so lay chey..

The things I mentioned about the Battery Optimization and Priority notification is recommended even with Google's Doze in MM so your Whatsapp notifications come in timely..

AD just kicks Doze in much quicker (like within a min or two) then Google's (30 mins or more).. You dont need to perform the DUMP command unless you run the latest 2.9 beta 2.. For me 2.8.1 is still most stable..

It's a pain doing factory reset right? Hahas

Yeah. Especially all the custom setups i have. If i have iPhone i just whack already lol. Used to use titanium backup but restoring always cause some kind of problems. As i get older i get less and less enthusiastic about doing things liao. Even PC i stop messing around with it until i almost forgot how to install Windows cos nowadays no DVD drive haha.

Which version of greenify are you using?
Yes but 3rd party lock will need to unlock using pin or pattern instead of fingerprint or smartlock
