First, from Whatsapp, do a chat backup (to google drive).. Then copy the whole whatsapp folder from root of your storage to your PC.. If too lazy to backup to PC, can also zip the whole whatsapp folder and upload to google drive.

After reset, copy the whole Whatsapp folder back to the root of your storage (or download the zipfile that you have backuped and unzip).. I'd delete all the databases files to let Whatsapp restore the messages database file.. The pictures are already in the folders they will be restored

That's the fastest way for 3K numbers media.

Ya.. whatsapp is pretty nice to give the backup feature. Other messaging apps like viber sucks big time.. Even rooted with TiBU also requires to do some tricking of the software. Real hassle so I give up using Viber altogether as I need fast and effective ways to transfer and backup files between my phones

I want to do factory reset. But my whatsapp folder consist alot of pictures.
If i were to factory reset, can i get it back? Like 3k pictures all

If you kiasi plug in microUSB then go to the whatsapp folder manually go copy them out also. When something is important, never leave chance to automatic backup lol. Anyway how come u store pics in whatsapp folder ones, shouldn't they be in gallery? lol

hi, you're not factory resetting the phone.
just resettinf the APN settings.
Go to:
settings>mobile networks>access point names> more>reset to default.
then if it's the same, the phone will ask to choose either it's prepaid or postpaid.

You can do factory reset from settings itself.. Don't hv to purposely go to recovery.. The factory reset will run a script to boot into recovery and format both data and cache

i think i screw everything up . i did somehow back up to my google drive then when restoring it hangs at 50% halfway .

then i thought i did copy the whole folder now i cant seem to retrieve back my old chats

Noted on your requirement but you also hv check if the bug lies with the 3rd party alarm app. Android 6 has doze feature which would break apps if the developer haven't fix it yet. If your alarm app is the only problem, you can try go to the app manager and look for the specific alarm app and clear it's data. Then check the permission of that app to see if the required permissions are enabled followed by battery optimization setting to disable battery optimization for that app

Timely. Didn't you try Google's alarm clock as well? Timely & Google clock about the same cos i think Google bought Timely then copied the idea from there, dunno wtf they do that for also hahaha too much money to spend.

I am now using 'Work Shift Calendar' and the alarm works despite not showing the tell-tale alarm icon beside the signal strength bar. Alarm sounded right on time and I'm able to set 2 alarm for a single shift

So far, quite happy with it

How come yours only Noti settings, sound like naughty settings haha. I thought you installed some porn stuff and u wanna get rid of the notification.

Not sure how to remove man, i doubt you can cos it's an quicker way to access your settings. I never even notice it until you mention.
