Eh wanna ask for those who came from Note 4 and Note 3. Is this phone a good upgrade? Don't mention no microSD or no removable battery la since it's nothing we can do about.
Camera, performance and functionality. Battery life too. Cos i'm still considering. Currently on Note 3 and i really hate the camera lol.
Ex-Note 3 user.
Have been using Note 5 for 10 days now.
The camera is definitely an upgrade.
Took tons of photos using Note 5.
Went to the Artscience Museum recently and took photos of the exhibitions there (The Deep and DreamWorks exhibition)
The picture quality is amazing compared to Note 3.
Battery life is better.
I can play Dragon Blaze and Dungeon Link continuously for at least 4 hours, switching between the 2 games (both games have time-specific events/rewards), from 100% to 5%
The fast charge is able to get a lot of battery juice back within a short period of time.
I did not enable any power saving modes.
The display is brilliant as well.
Was surprised by how vivid the colors of the display were.
Switching between apps and windows are very smooth.
I do not kill apps and windows, so I have a ton of the apps and windows being opened in the background.
So far, I have not experienced any lag.
As for the "sleeping beauty" problem, I did encounter it twice over the 10 days of owning the Note 5...
Other than that, so far, my experience with Note 5 is impressive.
If you use the S pen, you can now customize the Air Command to include 3 more shortcuts, ie you now have 6 options to choose, Action Memo, Smart Select, Screen Write [the standard S pen features] and 3 additional shortcut which you can add by yourself.
In summary, Note 5 is indeed a worthy upgrade from the Note 3.

Does the camera app open slower after you install all your apps? One thing i'm pissed about my Note 5 camera is cos the app take ages to open. Can be a good 5 secs. If i see a Unicorn galloping and i wanna snap it, i'll probably not catch anything.
I'm quite a heavy app user with about 300 apps and quite a few of them are background services apps. So this is my main concern.
Can i trouble you to upload some of the pics to see? Also, when you take video do u find that with the DIS + OIS, it really make the video more stable?

seem like our SG note 5 got new software update, initially was N920IDVU1AOH2 (11 August build), now the latest is N920IDVU1AOH6 (18 August build). Changelist is the same: 5471438
BumppDoes anyone have problems with their fast charging? Using stock charger/cable, sometimes my Note 5 doesn't utilize fast charge, problem will rectify itself after plugging and unplugging a few times. Tried using different power sources, extension plugs, wall plugs, no dice.
Some people are experiencing it here (http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-note-5/576594-note-5-not-always-fast-charging.html), bummer man.
My camera always snap immediately. 5sec is ridiculous n you should sent in service center!"
I don't understand why people keep comparing battery life of a new phone and a 2 year old phone...![]()
hi,
just a straw poll here.. how many of u are using the stock launcher ? or others ?
trying out Nova Prime, faster than stock.. seems to add overhead to it. considering to go back.
