The Men-Only Thread

Here's a thread that women would be hard-pressed to contribute to. It's a men-only thread.

Maybe a thread on your shaving routine, and shaving regime? How long does it takes you? What you use? Soap? Shaving gel? After shave? How often do you shave? Do you prefer wet-shaving or shaving with safety blades, or do you prefer one of those new-fangled electric shavers? Which is better? Why?

I've been wet shaving for a few years now. Something about the whole process, this gentleman's regime -- from wetting the brush, to lathering up my face -- is therapeutic. Allows me to take a few minutes to prepare myself for the day.

Wet shaving does take skill, and each pass of steel against skin, reminds me I'm mortal and each nick that draws blood is a celebration of life.

As an aside, never said that we should shun technology in all respects. I, and many others, like doing certain things the old-fashioned way -- wet shaving being one.

Btw, what electric shaver do you use?

Wish there was a 101 abt it hahaha. My Gillette nv gives a clean shave, and I'm not exactly a Capt Haddock frm tintin.

Shaving, to some, is just to get rid of the hair. Can don't shave lagi better.

To others who do wet shaving with DE, it is an enjoyable process. If can shave twice a day lagi better!!!

You essentially let the weight of the head do the work. You merely let your hands guide the shaver I do get a very clean shave with it.

Cheap! Bought it at Mustafa for (I THINK) less than 10 SGD. Very refreshing. I like the 'smarting' feeling when I dab it on my face after a shave!

I use electric shavers instead of wet shave.

Currently I am looking for electric shavers and would like to hear bros' recommendations on electric shavers as my current one is nearing the end of its usage life.

I also uncle but I using DE, went from NS Gillette to electric to DE. I find myself living DE.

Electric maybe faster but not necessary clean.
I don't plan no donating blood every time I shave.

I use electric too. Morning too rush for me to shaved slowly. Manual shave cause too much skin irritation for me. But I still shave manually twice a week to shave off hair that electric shaver can't reach
