Endclothing & hanon both almost sells same 1,they have all NB seasonal release from usa/uk/asia....usa & uk tags are more expensive,also consider limited edition....asia made NB are cheaper....

made in usa or uk,materials used is better in quality,also had better QC control,different from asia.China production goes for low-cost/cost saving,some materials are reuse or from cheaper suppliers,also alot of fake NB from china.

i find the suede used vary a lot when it comes to texture on different models. but this may be simply due to the type of suede used

i understand some 576, 577 uses pigskin suede which is very coarse and substantial,

a more accurate hand feel comparison would be between 996 USA and the recent 996 revlites. those on the recent revlites dont feel very solid lol


nubuck is of course something totally different

So New Balance Made in USA and UK is top notch high quality. The materials are different from Made in China and Vietnam one. Go feel the difference in the materials.

576, 577, 1400, 1500 (Made in UK) 996, 998, 999 (made in USA) are using pig skin linings. Nubuck is also used once in awhile with certain colourways or models. The suede leather also got difference in each model one. Even same model like what you mention the 996, got the Made in US version and the cheaper 996 made in china/vietnam.

Oh yea. 574s, the always hot seller of those who wanna start their NB shoes collection. But the 574 has too many coloursway to even follow them all.

But i'm more of a fan of the Abzorb and Revlite technology than the Encap technoogy. Encap is kind of stiffer, while Abzorb is my liking. Revlite for prolonged standing is kind of tired cos of the exceptionally soft and lighter cushioning.
