I have been using crizal prevencia lens a few months only and notice it gets fine scratches easily. I am a very careful person and always use the spectacle cloth to wipe only.

I notice crizal prevencia lens is lousier than no brand lens and hoya lens as I have been using them too and no fine scratches. The Hoya I have used is a few years longer than the crizal prevencia and have almost none fine scratches. I take care all my lens the same way, seems like crizal prevencia is more easily scratched, anyone else have same experience?

(my meaning of fine scratches is those that will appear as you use the lens for a long time, I did not scratch the lens, but somehow it will just appear if you use a long time, very fine)

Yar same experience here. A few months and mine got scratched as well. Zeiss the same. So far only hoya can withstand the test of time. Especially the newer upgrade of hvll high vision long life coating. Clearer crispier. I think almost scratchproof under normal usage. None of any of my hoya lens have ever seen a scratch under my naked eyes. Damn solid.

FYI, the last time I made a pair of specs at Kwong Shin, which was about 3-4mths back, I only saw a limited range of Oliver Peoples frame there.

Hoya blue control is it more noticeable (bluish/yellowish) than Prevencia? I think I last time choosen Prevencia because it look more like normal glasses. Prevencia reflect blue light quite good, only don't like it easily scratched.

Will stick to Hoya if I only wanted normal lens. The hoya I use is Phoenix 1.53. hvll high vision long life coating is new thing that cost more?

Zeiss I never try before. Sure heart pain if like you say get scratch easily, so expensive.

Do you mean less noticeable blue when blue light is reflected?

Hoya blue control is it more yellowish than prevencia?

If I remember correctly, the sales person told me Hoya blue control lens is more yellowish, so I avoided it as I was looking for blue control lens that look more normal.

Cannot remember clearly as i did it 3 years ago, around $150 to $200. Phoenix 1.53 is quite a normal lens, not high end expensive.
