Usually the lens will be much expensive if the Astigma is >200(?)

Went to a few optical shops and they quoted me abt 100-200$ more for the Astigma lens...

I just bought owndays spec with 1.67 lens as recommended by my friend. I feel that my vision a bit narrower than my previous spec. The degree and pd is exactly the same same as my previous spec.

All of my previous spec using zeiss 1.67 lens (using this brand for about 8 years). Is this because of the lens differences or just my feeling? How about other brand like hoya / crizal?

Are you wearing single vision or progressive?
Is the new spectacle frame more curved?
Also it is possible that an aspheric lens is more optimised than another for aesthetic qualities aka thinness over optical qualities

Yes, it's possible that high astig may require atoric or bi-aspheric lens to allow for wider field of clear peripheral vision

It does not need to be much more expensive if you don't get branded frames. Basically sunglasses are just tinted spectacles. The total cost will of course be lower if you choose non branded lens. If you want polarised lenses though, it may cost significantly more

hi friends. Recently gotten new specs with prevencia lenses. When tilting my head slightly, i am able to see some purple/blue tint. Wonder is this tint reflecting into my eyes or it's just normal. Thanks..

Anyone can advise me prevencia, Alize or forte 1.67 cost how much for lense only?
I'm at Thailand now, thinking of making it here if significantly cheaper than sg.

L -5.5 astig 1.75
R - 6.75 astig 1.25

For this RX do I really need 1.67,or will 1.60 do fine? The price difference quite a lot.

My Owndays specs used one year badly scratched up. Even the Thai optician say it's low quality lenses.
