Hi Guys,

Any recommendation on places to get alain mikli specs and make a lens as well? I'm currently on Stark Eyes, but the right spring on the frame spoilt so have to change.

Or any other nice brands with the pixelated plastics? Trying to look a bit older here..

Are transition lens beneficial? Coz tough to put on shades when wearing glasses. So thought of trying transition lens. Any disadvantages or inconveniences?

I think Marina Square eye@work might have. They have quite a range of niche glasses too. Maybe you can send your frame to luxxotica service centre to get it fixed. I helped a customer before and it took around 1month plus to get the parts over!!!!!😑 but I literally sent the whole frame over. Can consider Theo/J F Rey glasses too.

The higher the Addition power you have, the more peripheral distortion there will be to your lenses. Thats why for progressives, when a first time wearer maybe 45++ above try, he/she will realised the wavy/dizziness/distortion when putting it on. Thats why it's better to start early. Strain-wise, a probable factor is that it might be due to overpowering.

@Gangsterkia

Share with u some update. I managed to find out the root cause of my problem.

Seen the ophthalmologist twice and done many tests, but she say nothing abnormal or early presbyopia etc. Later i was referred to Orthoptist who managed to diagnose that i was suffering from convergence and accommodation insufficiency. Prescribed eye exercises for me which i do daily and now my problem was elevated. I didn't expect eye exercises really helps. Those with eye straining problem like can try to do the excercises(can be found on internet or via apps)

Thks for ur advice earlier!

Grats on your hoot!

Nowadays awaiting to collect ready made glasses is so fast now, last time used to wait 1+ week now 3 days only.

Went to make Zeiss Platinum lens on 18 Wed(holiday), and I received sms on Friday evening that my glasses is ready for collection.

Here my Zeiss lens: the Z marking can be seen on lens, no need to blow vapour unlike Crizal. I did asked the staff and was informed Zeiss lens is UV protected.

Are there any spectacle shops in Singapore that has a good range of Cocoons fit over sunglasses? I've only seen them in Outdoor Life at Velocity but models are limited.

Just to check, does anyone have knowledge of comparing crizal transition to the normal house brand 1.56 transition lens? Both with pc protection coating. I was quote a price difference of $120 and not sure if it’s worth while to pay the extra for crizal. Thanks.

Evening! I do not have an iprofiler(machine to measure parameters for iscription). But it should be a card stating the type of lens you are getting, coupled with your degree. You can also ask your optometrist/optician to show you the lens engraving at the nasal(nose)/temporal(ear) to show the lens.

thanks! i got my glasses and the card. i saw the usual Z logo easily. it was harder to find the other 2 engravings showing the lens material as well as my initials to know for sure that these are lenses made just for me.

iscription is amazing. driving at night is so much better now with less glare. i was skeptical initially but seeing is believing. wish i discovered iscription earlier

It's more of the coating that's different which results in clarity, scratch resistance.. but if price is a concern then just get the cheaper one. But rmb that yi fen Qian yi fen Huo!

The other 2 engraving should be slightly below the zeiss logo. But yeah specially customised. Great that you like it!
