Yfwong, you can probably check out the many shops around level 1. Many shops to check out the pricing and frames. As long as the price and frames are reasonable hahaha. Maybe wouldnt recommend seng li.

Seng li used to be a favourite. Fallen out of favour now? Grew Arrogant bevos good biz? Or always been like this?? I dont really like their attitide though so no go for me even if they have many brands including new starck models.

ya! hv a few optical shops located inside thomson plaza although i feel eyewear optics is the more 'modern' looking of them.

Yea ah boy u are right, that day im free i went to queensway to inspect all the optical shops, realise all the shops moved to or are at 1st floor. Essentially no need to go 2nd floor. Most of the optical shops on level 1 now. Seng li is newly renovated so i guess they want sales to cover their costs back. I just look at a few models then left seng li shortly becos cant stand the lady's attitude. Optometrists@work also eager to sell but very patient painstakingly took out all the models for me to try & didnt show a face when i left without buying. But their models not as much. Small shop thats why they need to depend on better service level. Still yet to find the perfect shop where i can get high service levels, large variety, good dispensing & optometry skills. Pearl optical comes close due to their large variety but lack of dispensing expertise & QC yhrows a wet blanket. Guess we cant have the best in one single optical shop.

Bro I saw starck frames at paris miki. But they weren't really comfortable ot that light though. Design is quite unique though.

Yalar ofcos cant compare starck weight with brands like icberlin mykita lindberg etc... becos u have to see the frame thickness as well.. i just like the sturdy solid feeling that starck can gimme. And the hinge so strong & solid as well.. but im only looking at plastic frames. Their hinges rather flexible and auto adjust so i guess if ears are one side higher than the other may like it. I think newer plastic frames are much lighter but thinner as well which cant really cover my lens thickness. Will wait & see their new models. But must first find shops that carry them. Not as popular ss brands like tagheuer, oakley etc.

Lost my specs when moving house, go reservist FFI cannot see the eye test at all. Went to Queensway to make new specs.

These are made in China from Dongguan. Qualitywise feels much better and comfort better than the Korean made pair I had. Lense used is Crizal. Dunno good or not. But felt much better than the AO I used and only cost $20 more.
