These days at work, whenever I see my A3 paper data small numbers, my eyesight cant focus and blurry.

I have astigmatism 散光 and short sighted.

I was thinking owndays due to the affordable price but the lens r not that good based on what I read here.

My budget is $300+

350-400 is more than enough to get you a pair of ray bans+prescription lenses.
The official shops would be a good place to try out their models, but to purchase there....... haha..
Don’t worry, ask around your friends and maybe they can recommend you a place which they trust and in turn hopefully you will too.

Usually i start work at 1pm and has to keep looking at the data and measurement. About 3 hrs later, my eyesight will start to get blurry and cant focus

Based on what I read and feel, I believe your eyes are fatigue and might need anti fatigue lenses. These lenses works similarly to progressives but it’s a category below it. In between single vision and progressives.

Such lens has reduced power at the bottom to help your eyes to relax and to read better. E.g. you are 300 degrees, the lower half of the lenses has power progressively reduced to 200 degree. So that 100 degree of reduction will allow you to read and focus better at closer distances.

Lens like these includes, crizal Eyezone boost, zeiss digital lenses or Hoya sync 3. There are similar Brands out there in the market E.g. Pentax energy, Shamir relax etc.. they cost about 200-300 per pair depending on your prescription.

They actually do not lose out to single vision.

The downside to anti fatigue is that there is a limit to the addition/power reduction at the bottom which currently stands at +1.35(Hoya sync 3).
The distortion at the sides are lesser than a progressive so it’s really comfortable. However once you hit about 45 onwards, and your lao hua/presbyopia/reading power increases above the +1.50 mark. The anti fatigue lenses will not work as well as it used too.
This is based on my fitting experience and might differ from how other practitioner fit over here thus correct me if I am wrong in any way. Cheers and hope this helps!

hi GANGSTERKIA, if i would to make a new specs with my current contact lens power (SPH: -4.75(left)/-5.25(right) CYL:-2.25) what kind of lens would you recommend? i am currently using owndays and would like to change to a specs that is much lighter.

If you prefer smth that’s much lighter, I would start of with 1.67 index lenses for starters, then choose a frame that is not too broad, size probably 50-52( if possible depending on face shape). Followed by a light titanium frame..
Lightest probably Lindberg or Markus T. Frames that is light, aesthetically appealing and at the same time more durable. However the cost would be quite high. Towards the 800 plus range.

There are many frames in the market that coupled with a 1.67 lens, will be within 400-500. Brand wise... too many haha.
What I know that I can tell you are frames like Oakley, charmant, oga, lightec, acoustic line...

I like one of the colour of the sunglasses which the eyeglasses does not offer.

Thinking of getting it and convert to eyeglasses instead!
