i assume you live near a neighbourhood, walk around, buy a cup of coffee or any other drink, then ask the uncle if there's any optical shops nearby . with the locations , walk in as ask , hi i have a budget of around $50-80 and i need a pair of glasses

see what they have compare between 2-3 shops, items you will get from what you are going to pay frame/lens/index

and choose from there see who you think is less likely to screwup

Staffan Preutz frame - $600

Zeiss progressive superb 1.67 index with transition - $1500

Would like to know is the price quoted reasonable or on the high side?

Sinkapore no moar stock left.

u can try Bras Basah...the optical shop next to the escalator.
they hab Oliver Peoples too..

The most atas shop is at Mandarin Gallery...level 2 or 3.
they hab nice range of Oliver Peoples...but but but...very expensive...frame alone cost u more than a thousand.
as compared to Queensway and Bras basah...$300-$450.

Why price gap so different ah? Is it just because they chop carrot? Or is the quality different?
