Hi all,

My friend just got his Crizal Prevencia with Transition 1.6 Index and he realised his lens doesn't come with the Crizal Watermark when its fogged. Is it normal? He did receive his Authenticity card without his name printed though. No Crizal cloth.

When compared with my Crizal Transition 1.5 Index, mine does come with Watermark. Not sure whether the Prevencia coating doesn't come with the Watermark anymore.

TIA

Hopefully someone with Crizal Prevencia can shine a light whether the Crizal Watermark is present on the lens, and whether Essilor/Crizal cleaning cloth is provided upon purchase. TIA.

From what I know, usually as Long as it's crizal the watermark will be there. Can only think of a few things that causes no watermark.
1)when edging the lens, they edge away the watermark logo.(highly unlikely)
2)when cleaning off antislip coating from the lens, clean too hard and cleaned away the the airmark logo.(likely)

*edit I just checked, is your Friend power very high? As Long as the lens is those customised made ones then it will not come with the watermark. Because if it is transition and prevencia together( it is counted as customised) thus it will not have crizal watermark/airmark. For progressive lenses, you identify them by the logo engraved on the lens and the card that you can request/given to you.

cloth usually is given with progressive or anti fatigue lens. Not all single visions come with cloth. The authenticity card...request from your shop if you really need it. All about trust regarding the card. Hope this helps!

Thank you!

I think his degree is around 300+/- and it was a RX Lens (customised) since Transition + Prevencia doesn't come in Stock Lens. He did receive the Authenticity Card with his Power printed and Shop name but without his Name printed on the Card. Also, no Crizal cloth. But when I did my own Crizal Transition (Stock Lens), it did come with the Cloth. :p

Why is crizal so popular?

I think it's their marketing. You can see Crizal ads and posters everywhere.. And also Brand Loyalty (if you used Crizal before).. Most optician recommended sticking the same lens manufacturer.

I am using trueform nulux active by Hoya. There are two ways to maximise the effects of this lens. You have to let your optom/optician know if you need better reading or just a slight relaxation for your eyes. The lens can be altered to allow you to reach the lower end(relaxation point) quicker if needed. Otherwise just it be the same as the others. Eyezen has a lower range of addition power as compared to zeiss digital.

Most optical shops have them(zeiss digital) ,Or else can get those ready made blue control lenses with frames. But take note how many percent blue light Is being cut out. 30% 50% or not sure if there is more. But the higher the percentage the more yellow the lens tint will be.

Just wondering if there is a shop that can re-coat Spectacle frames and what will the cost be like, if there is such a service? I have a pair of Oakley Transistor frame with slight peeling of its pewter colour. The frame is still in good condition, and ultra light as its made using Titanium.
