If I'm not wrong, usually the air mark is easily visible. However it depends on your degree and fitting. Upon edging, the air mark might be edged away. :)

I'm getting my pair of Eyezen too! Excited :D

hihi

i just bought a pair of glasses using the 1.67 Eyezen lenses from Essilor, i noticed that watermarks/icons on the lenses. Other that the authenticity card, is there any other way to be certain that this is indeed Eyezen lenses from Essilor? I read some posts that indicate using the blow test but i dont see anything on the lense after it.

thanks for the help!

Looking to change my spectacles as my crizal coating has started wearing off after 3 years. (On that note, is it possible to reapply or remove the coating? Starting to impair my vision - See picture)
M44CrQw.jpg

Already have the frames, just looking for the best value for the lenses. Degree is high, any recommendations for cheap-ish lenses? Previous lenses have always cost a bomb.

EDIT: Do not mind going to JB too!

My degree if anyone is interested (probably increased, this was taken in 2014);

R - 11.00 - 2.00 x10
L - 9.75 - 1.25 x15

Last time I had the same issue after two years. I swore I won't buy Crizal anymore after that. Boycott. Pricey and not lasting.

Reapplying coating is not possible so it's time to change a new pair of lenses. At least yours lasted 3 years, not bad! Best to have it checked. Can consider 1.67RX or else 1.74. A normal 1.67 cannot fit your prescription for the right eye.(based on your current prescription)

Hi bro, hope you understand that it's still a service that was provided to you to get your eye tested. Just like going to a doctor for a consultation, you will be charged for consultation. Usually if you are charged for consultation and if you make a pair of spectacles within a period of time, the cost of the consultation will be waived. Some places do charge even more so just a heads up.

thx 4 the clarification. I did pay up with no question asked. just hope to find a reliable shop to get my glasses made. so at tat price is it reasonable? from the price list shown lens was progressive plus i think 690, +200 transition, blue something coat offset worth 50, and frame saw price tag 200+ total 1050.

Haha bro! Congrats(or maybe not) on reaching the milestone already. Generally by right once you hit 40 can already feel the effects of presbyopia.
It usually works this way, age 35-40 (+50 reading power),40-50(+1.00 to +1.75) 50-60(+2.00 to +2.75).
However it varies for different individuals as our working habits And near reading lifestyles will affect how much reading power we need. If we use more computer(intermediate distance) then we require lesser reading power.
E.g. Some surgeons when doing near work reading requires a +2.00 reading power but when performing operations as he is standing but requires to work at an intermediate distance, thus maybe +1.50 or +1.25 degree is needed.
The further our work is, the lesser reading power we need and vice versa, the nearer it is, the more reading power we need. Hope this helps, I might have left out some points..
feel free to ask more!

44 this year.

I think generally as Long as you ask to see the price list and if discount is given, shouldn't be an issue.. surely there will be some shops that can offer better prices but like what a user mentioned here before. Sometimes it's the feeling of being comfortable with the optom/optician serving you that gives you the trust and provides you with the service that justifies the price you are paying. Some places might charge cheaper but in terms of aftercare services and all.. maybe totally bo-chup..
Feel free to ask any other questions. Hope this helps😅

By right pencil push up test is being recommended to help correct muscle issue/strengthen muscle in your eye. Reducing eye strains in the long run(correct me if i am wrong, i'm not too familiarized with binocular Vision)
But in terms of degree, generally Pen push ups does not really affect it. However how effective this method is, it is really debatable.
