This is very subjective. Based on the shop integrity TBH...but essilor and zeiss can tell. Hoya also got certain engraving but usually is at the extreme end of the unfinished lenses thus when the lens is edged/cut to fit into frame then the engraving will be gone.

Also certain Brand’s lenses card do not state the name of the cx, and degree. Just the card stating the lens and authenticity. But of course there are others that do. But for names engraving on the card, usually progressives then have but must request.

That means they collect so many cards that even if lenses is no brand one they can fake it as branded one by give u a card?

An example. No name just the card power and all. Depending, if cx wants, the shop can easily request for it. But for single vision lenses usually no such thing. From my knowledge zeiss should do it.

Hello guys,

I got my specs and lenses about 2 years back. Lenses are zeiss with blue light control.

Unfortunately one side of my eye is deteriorating and I would like to change the degree of one lens.

Is there a way of just changing one side? Can I go to any other shop that sells zeiss lenses?

Hi bro, definitely! U can just change one side BUT since its 2 years ago, yellowing of the lens might occur and thus unless you are fine with 1 side clear and 1 side slightly yellow. Then you are good to go with just changing one side.

Most optical shop should carry zeiss lenses.

Hope this helps!

Some lens can see light blue or pink tint from a angle, what do u call those lens

Blue filter lenses/computer lenses.

Different lens companies have their own signature trademark for their lenses.

e.g. essilor-prevencia, hoya-blue control, zeiss- blue protect.- common ones.

Hi Gangsterkia,

Are Hi-Top lenses good? My regular optician only provides this brand.

Hi good afternoon!

Hi-TOP lenses are basic lenses which are good enough for a Normal person e.g. Me. Clarity wise may not be as sharp as the big Brand’s but hitop works fine!

Hmm.. sorry bro this is really subjective. Different places offer different discounts so I can't really recommend you a place. Maybe certain shop that sells more zeiss lens will be able to give you the discount you need..
I can probably think of KJ optoms or jamco at this point of time off hand.

Thanks! Do you know where offers the best deal for zeiss blue light lenses? I forgot where I got my lenses from already

Zeiss single vision individual

Hi Bro Gangsterkia, can I check what is the turnaround time to make a pair of Zeiss Single Vision Individual? Coming back to sg during the CNY period for 2 weeks and need to make a new pair of spectacles. I am currently wearing a pair of Zeiss Single Vision Superb.

I do a lot of fine stitching so need my vision to be as sharp as possible. I am also bothered by oncoming glare when driving - not sure if should go for the drivesafe or digital lenses +/- blueprotect?

Alright, I would suggest if you feel that your current glasses is clear enough, then stick the the same one but perhaps using blue protect+duravision to achieve the same clarity and reduced glare. However when doing your stitching, is Colour perception important? As blue protect also might cause your vision to turn slighttttttttly yellow.
If it does affect you then I would say go individual sv, because drivesafe also has a slight yellowish hue to it. Thus individual will allow you to achieve the maximum clarity coupled with your reduced glare at night.
I checked, wait time will probably take up Til 13th Feb if you get it done within next 2 days.

Hi Bro Gangsterkia,

I bought a frame online and wish to make a progressive lens locally, currently I am using Hoya Summit Phoenix True Form(??) and I also have another progressive lens using in-house brand by made at another optical shop, it is using Seiko lens. I am thinking to bring down the cost of making another progressive lens. Where can get it fixed? Thanks in advance.

anyone of u has such experience before?

Transition lenses are naturally slightly yellowish/grey. Don't worry bout that!
