Yup. Is Duravision Blueprotect 1.6 Phtofusion grey. So I guess the price is reasonable. Wow, didn’t know lens price increased over the year by so much.

I am looking at a new pair of glasses for myself too. Shortsighted-650, Astig -100.
Thinking of getting one with progressive cause age catching up, think my “Lao Hua” is getting worse.
Need something lightweight, thinking of 1.67 index. Facing laptop most of the time now, so I guess those with blue light protect is good. And finally probable get back one with transition to protect from UV.

Budget is $750. Any recommended shop at Jurong East/West?

If you are above 38, can consider going for progressives early. Get adapted to it while you are still young and when your addition power/Lao hua is low. once it increases higher, getting adapted to one would be abit of a difficulty.
Maybe you can consider going west mall, Mr Eyewear. They have really professional staffs there that can advise you on your needs and galsses too.
Blue filter and Transition can be added onto your lenses too. But if you do not want to use a progressive yet then i advise you to use a Digital Lens from Zeiss whereby it is the inbetween transition phase of a normal single vision lens to a progressive. Thus once you get use to the Digital lenses, It will be alot easier to use a normal progressive lens.

2. Degree same. For astig, i rmb i heard smthg about it. Cant really recall but it's either increase or now instead of 1 eye both eyes have it.
3. thin rim with lenses exposed more. gotta use 1.6 lens

5. adjusted the fit? yes, multiple times.

So now a bit sian thinking should i change the specs at other places.

If day has more of an issue, Likely could be because of the lens that is exposed more as compared to a full frame. As the lenses is not covered by the frame, it could be the aberration when light refracts through the side of the lenses. This happens sometimes to people who use to wear full frames all the time and suddenly just switch to a frameless. There could be other reasons but if you want to test it out, try covering the exposed sides when you are out in the sun and see if it still feels unconfortable.

If yes still then maybe, just maybe it could be degree. Have you checked the power again?

Yeah, If hoya you can consider Dynamic Nulux Active Or Pentax Energy. Both Works as AntiFatigue!

For Essilor you can consider Eyezen.

I tested with an old pair of mine that is full frame with the exact same degree as the new pair and it is also blur in the day. If there's no change to the degree means need to get astig lens?

1. Current pair made in 2013 @ 1.67 at owndays.
2. Degree not yet checked, have myopia.
3. Facing computer screens often due to nature of work.

Looking for light weight Half-rim frame, advised to go for 1.72 by optician as current 1.67 lenses is too thick.

Looking for frames/models not likely to get discontinued in the next 3 years so able to purchase and replace easily. (Not a priority)

Not looking for transition lense but blue filter lenses. Read from previous posts recommending Asahi-Lite UV420 / Tokai Lutina but keen to know how much it costs if I opt to go for 1.72 as i have a high degree.

Budget ideally around $400(Lenses only) capped at $700(Frames + Lenses). Any recommended shops in North East and East Area? Etc, Sengkang, Hougang, Kovan, Ang Mo Kio.

Crizel EyeZen falls in the category of anti-fatigue lenses. Many brands carry this range of lenses. We'ld usually prescribe it to younger folks(25-38yo) who face alot of near work.

For heavy CPU/mobile phone users, We would recommend Asahi-Lite UV420/ Tokai Lutina. These lenses blocks up to 94% HEV (Harmful Blue) light

Ah, If that's the case then likely could be your astig. You may want to ask if can put astig into your glasses BUT, test it out first with a Trial frame(ask them to help you with it). If its too dizzy/fishbowl effect, consider reducing the degree of the astig.

If you ask me, I would say not really. But in terms of clarity, zeiss takes it best but i always emphasise on individual tolerance. If you personal clarity tolerance is high e.g not sensitive to clarity, basically most lenses brand will work on you. But if you want to have better clarity then zeiss is the one to go for. In terms of the 3 of them for single vision lens clarity, my personal opinion is 1)zeiss 2)hoya 3)essilor.
Myself I tried all 3 Brand’s before and I don’t see any difference because my tolerance is very high thus all 3 lenses doesn’t have any significant difference in clarity for me.
There are other lenses in the market e.g. like what fellow user eyezoneopticalsg mentioned, tokai, Asahi , Kodak, AO, Nikon, Pentax, stellify..
So depends on which optical shop you go to, they will probably r commend you accordingly!

It’s probably Pentax/stellify lenses which is under hoya. If you want blue control(hoya blue filter) then probably have to TOP up 10-20 dollars around there.
But did you ask if must buy a certain tier of lenses before you are entitled to the discount or straight up the lenses?
The difference between Pentax, stellify and hoya is their multicoat. Pentax is using their INC coating, followed by stellify HVP and hoya HVLL(best). Either way as Long as you can take care of your lenses well, either one will be fine for a single vision lens.

Got quotes SGD 280 for a Carl Zeiss photochromatic lens at a mall. Any other place where I can do it for a better price? Suggestions on alternative photochromatic lenses would be much appreciated as well.
