Anti-Fatigue Lens => usually recommended for people in their early to late 30s to help relax their eyes when they see near for a long period of time. The near boost comes in +0.50, +0.62, +0.75, +0.87, +1.00. Value of boost is dependent on the prescription and age

Digital Lens => Same as Anti-fatigue. Some brands just name it differently. These lenses usually incorporate Blue Block/Absorb technologies in it.

Progressive lens => Recommended for people when they start seeing blur at near & have some form of "Degree" @ distance (More than +/-1.00 Ds). Addition starts from +1.25.

Office lens => Recommended for people when they start seeing blur at near + intermediate & have relatively low or no Degree @ distance OR If they have Degree @ distance but reading Addition is more than +2.00

Quite alot of information to digest 🤭

Hope that answers your question

Thanks so much for the clear explanation. Appreciated!

I think the most important questions is to ask "what happens if I cant get used to it?" Is there Money Back Guarantee for that pair of progressive lenses?

No point spending money and get no assurance on how well you can adapt to it. Doesn't mean you spend thousands on a pair of lenses, it is the best for your eyes.

Everyone's eye is different. So i suggest
  • having your eyes checked
  • explain your daily visual activities to the optometrist/optician.
  • Introduced to the lenses that best suit your needs.
  • Buy only if you're comfortable with what is introduced to you.
  • Best if they have Money Back Guarantee

U mean there are optical shops that offer money back guarantee?

Yup! If they are confident of what they are selling.

No point claiming how good the lenses are. Most importantly, what happens if the lens is not what they proclaim to be or unable to solve your problem?

Then again, not many shops dare to offer Money Back Guarantee on progressive lenses. It requires a certain level of competency and knowledge on Opthalmic lenses.

Does Eyezone offer this money back guarantee? If yes, I may pop by

Hi,

Just some feedback regarding PC/UV420 lens that i have recently bought and doing the blue light test with the test kit provided with Cyxus brand specs.

1. PC lens with yellowish tinge. Think brand is associated with xiaomi. The blue light did not pass through the lens.
2. PC lens with yellowish tinge. Cyxus brand bought from Amazon. The blue light did not pass through the lens.
3. UV420 lens bought from local store visual mass with no yellowish tinge. The blue light did not pass through the lens.
4. Carl Zeiss lens with duravision blueprotect. Very very slight yellowish tinge. The blue light managed to pass through the lens though it did not create a burn mark as compared to shining through without the lens.

Hmmm, was feeling a little disappointed at the results as obviously the carl zeiss lens is the most expensive of them all and i expected it to block out the blue light entirely.

Duravision blue protect is a blue light REFLECT lens. So it doesn’t absorb blue light as compared to your NO yellowish tinge lens that is blue light absorb.
Blue light absorb will be shown to absorb the light thus no light go through.
Blue light is still essential for our daily routine, you need to understand what user Eyezone has been telling us so far regarding the light spectrum on good blue light, bad blue light and which area they fall on.

As Long as the lenses are blue light reflect e.g. dura blue protect, blue control Hoya or essilor prevencia, Nikon seemax blue, they will allow blue light to go through like the rest you did. It doesn’t mean it’s more harmful.

The person selling you the lenses should tell you more information about it least you misunderstood and get disappointed.

Blocking out blue light completely will cause your body clock to go out of sync, lethargic and more.

Hi

Comparing my normal lens vs transition lens with the same degree.
Noticed that when wearing the transition len specs, i noticed the vision is not as sharp as the normal lens spec.

Any explanation?

Your degree is pretty high, a change in distance between lens to your eye could play a part. (E.g. Changing from plastic frame to metal frame/frame with nosepads)

Hi. Thanks for your detailed explanation.
All my specs have no degrees but how come when I wear the duravision blueprotect for above one hour, I will feel slightly giddy.
Was reading about focal point/ focal distance. Does this apply to my lens without degrees? Btw the frames are all more or less similar type (acetate, plastic)

I want to make a pair transition lens from owndays. Should I top up $100 for the normal transition lens or $200 for the better one that change faster n have different colours to choose from. Assuming my base price is $98

Is it really necessary to change faster or different colour? E.g. aesthetic purposes or does your sport/job require a certain transition colour?
To pay extra 200 for such thing honestly abit not worth if it doesn’t checks out.

Hello! Finally got my frame! Got a semi-rim as it is very sleek. However, being someone with myopia between -9.00 to -10.00, I intend to go for a 1.74 lens so that it will fit and hold nicely (hope I don’t regret). Seeing the computer for about 8h daily due to work. Can someone recommend a cheap and affordable blue light and 1.74 lens? Thank you and have a great weekend!

Does the frame has nose pads? Or not? Compared to your other frames. Is the frame more curve compared to the others too??

Can i ask a branded frame cost ard 200 + hoya dynamic premium with transition and blue light lens altogether for Sgd800. They say discounted else its close to 1k cos lens 750(250 for transition + blue light). Is it too ex and excessive for 70 year old? Is it reli worth the $? Usually if do with frames, how much discount will they give?
