Hey bro, do you have a rough idea of what is your prescription?

Hmm can't really remember. Must be in excess of 900 since that's a number that's at least 5 years old. Also I remember my astigmatism to be at least 300. Not sure if I am making sense but thanks for your offer to answer my question!

If it’s so high, I believe you should get a 1.74... or 1.67 minimally. 1.67 would start at about 1240 before less and 1.74, 1620(essilor physio above average tier lens).

1.67 Hoya dynamic summit 1.66 would be 930 and 1430 for 1.74(entry level Hoya lens).

There are surely cheaper and maybe better alternatives out there, but this is just my recommendation for a start.

Hope this helps and feel free to let me know if there’s any question!

Is the current one comfortable in terms of the vision, clarity and peripheral clarity/distortion?

If yes then you can stick to the similar design, if you prefer something better in terms of wide viewing area, you can look towards physio or even the X series(both are the improved version of the comfort, X being the best).

Small plastic frames would be best. There are certain titanium frame that is combined with plastic thus the frame front(plastic) can hide your thickness from the lens).
Or you can even look into 3D printed frame whereby it’s customised according to your face shape/size. Can even adjust the thickness of the frame to hide your lens thickness.
There is a difference in the size of the lenses however if you choose the wide length lenses(angular)(big frame) then the thickness will still be thick.
You are looking at a price range of Hoya 390 and essilor 420 for 1.74.

Hi Gangsterkia,

I also have high myopia (900+), astigmatism (300+), what are the different type of glass lenses available in the market for this degree (index 1.74 above)?

Also when a shop say local manufacturer - is there only one manufacturer? How is the quality like compared to international brands?

I went one shop told me the market only has glass lens from the manufacturer "hoying" (not sure spelling). But another shop recommended zeiss, essilor, and local manufacturer. They say the japanese brand (i presume Hoya) does not manufacture for my degree.

Don't mind if you can confirm what the shops have told me and approximate price range for Zeiss?

Air titanium rim can just pluck out without using tools eh...

Do you means spirit? Or air titanium?

RIM series is a flat nosepad plus a pin to fit in.

And by right all the nosepads do not require tools to remove or insert. Unless you want to narrow the gap/tighten the GAP for acetanium, NOW, horn, etc.

Yes but seems a bit tight to remove by hand lol

Ok..maybe the nose pad and button hardened.
And looks like the button is designed not to be re-used

Yes, it is designed not to be reused. But your Lindberg shop should provide free replacement for nosepads and the temple tips. Why not go back to let them replace for you. Safer also Incase of accidental damage 😅

Any places to recommend that offers lower prices for special made lenses? My degree is pretty high at about 400-500+ and I’m experiencing discomfort especially long hours of wearing glasses at home now. Finding an optician to make new thinner lenses, so Long it no longer feels heavy ;)

How about your astigmatism?
Your degree is quite normal, getting higher index lens like 1.67 etc should be no problem

Did you use glue or smth? Usually the rim nosepads is using a lock and pin system and such that if you take it apart once, and put back it will not be as “tight” anymore.
