Usually optical shops won’t have that many models, thus going over to the official rayban shop, try on which model you like then you drop by to the optical shop to purchase, if they don’t have, then probably must order in.
Thus you save time and at least get to try the models. Also able to buy it as a set.

im looking at those optician shops kind. Try on frame and also make the lense. If rayban shop can't do the frame? Cos I doubt frame alone if buy separately cant claim from my company

Think it’s better if you call and enquire.

Probably wait til it’s all settled before you make the specs.

Any ideas what’s the price range like for the whole operation? Maybe u can Pm me

Should I get the specs now?

Btw, who do u recommend for silhouette frames?

due to my current schedule, that will be like another 6-8 months before I can make new specs

but I need a new pair asap cause the contact lens is tiring me out ...

is it ok to get a silhouette frame with a normal lens then change a new lens after the degree stabilized?

will it damage the frame or whatsoever?

As i said before, SmartLife isint exactly a new product. He doenst want to bring in smartlife probably because of some reasons only we know not the consumer. Doenst mean he dont have means no latest equipment. Change our mindset abit, dont have doesnt mean old fasion.

This new place i am going got smartlife but no Optical Coherence Tomography. does this means my workplace is considered latest? No.

Exclusive also because of reasons only trade people will know. Not because They want to purposely select those ''chosen ones''.

Boss the new shop u going got the necessary machine to take measurements for smartlife lens or not? If not wasted leh.

Seems like smartlife is the latest lens only launched this year. And hoya dont have equaivalent lens. But their subsidiary seiko has it. Seiko smartzoom. Exactly same as zeiss smartlife. I take it that hoya put this higher tier range into their seiko brand instead. Seiko seems to be the premium brand and hoya more towards generic market.

I checked nikon website even worse. Seems like nikon is dropping behind le. I think essilor didnt want to develope their nikon branding.

I keep looking through the websites. Seems like zeiss smartlife lens and seiko smartzoom are just tweaking their existing individualised lens into another brand to market them. I read many times i couldnt tell the difference. Actually individualised lens can also customise what the smartlife and smartzoom lens can do leh, no mah??

Different leh. Or at least thats what the website protrayed. Zeiss smartlife series is similar to seiko smartzoom series. But hoya no such serie.

On the hoya website, no mention that nulux V+ also caters to digital use, which both smartlife and smartzoom series can. Hoya nulux active is more similar to this serie of lens.

I read and re-read many many times le.

I not asking your new shop have smartlufe lens or not. I was asking whether the shop has the appropriate equipment to take the requisite readings required to order smartlife lens effectively or not.

To do smartlife you just need an Ipad with the app inside. That’s all, hoya sync 3, essilor eyezen/fit also just need an ipad. Don’t need anything fancy.

edit:***you can ask Jamco to see if they have Smartlife too, probably got wider range of frames and they have alot of Zeiss machines and probably the Smartlife tool.

If you not so particular then don't have to go for too expensive lenses. i think both brands use similar tier lenses so shouldnt have much difference
