For someone with uneven ear heights, will it be a problem for using progressive lens?
Can the frame be adjusted to compensate this?

Hi, I am no expert, our organs are asymmetrical, that said, it would not be an issue for using progressive lens as most of the frame is adjustable to suit this asymmetrical issue. Unless you are using plastic frame and with unadjustable nose pads, it may be challenging then. However, you can always add nose pads to these plastic frames to solve this issue, only thing is it may not be nice and would be heavy. My 1 cent. Thanks.
Well said! Yes I also agree that if you are using progressives, I strongly recommend using frames with those adjustable nose pads.
Aside from that, uneven ears are not an issue as they can and should be adjusted before measuring your pupil distance and pupil height for progressives.

for the higher tier progressive lens (eg. Varilux X, MyStyle V+), do the opticians need to be certified/qualified to prescribe these lens? do they require special equipments for some precise measurements?
does it mean that as long as the shop can sell these lens, that means they are qualified?

Thanks for bro for the nice advise. For the adjustable nose, is it common to find it?
All opticians and optometrists have to be certified and qualified to prescribe glasses.
More detailed equipment for my style v+, x-track and x-clusive are required.
Not all shops can prescribe x-clusive due to the machine required to get the measurement.
Anyone knows if chain outlets like Spectacle Hut, Nanyang, Capitol carry this kind of frame? The style that was most popular abt 20 years ago.

I know they are more common in smaller shops. But now got leecession, suppose I buy frames + lenses from a small shop and they close down afterwards, a bit difficult to get my specs “serviced”.
