I would suggest Giving yourself a few days and see how it goes. However if the reading is affecting you then you can go to get it adjusted. Bring along the better pair as reference for the adjustment.

So should i stick with the present X design lense for a while and see how it go or should I change back to the previous axis immediately.

Adjustment? Adjustment in frame position or the Axis ?
The viewing comfortability only affected during dark or dimly lighted environment.

With the low astigmatism I have, the optician told that the change in Axis degree only affect far distance, but usually will not affect any near or immediate distance.

Adjustment of the frame position.

There are individuals that are very sensitive with axis that even with -0.25 they need it to be accurate.
Also did you test the reading under dimly lit environment and bright. Between both glasses are the difference constant?

For the X design, reading and looking at handphone at normal or bright light environment, it ok, only looking at handphone in the dark or dimly light environment is not as comfortable. For Physio, both dimly light or Bright light environment is ok.

Hmm, is it possible for you to describe the not comfortable? Straining? Blurred? Hard to focus?
Ps troubleshooting online hard to project my qns well.
Prevencia might be the leading cause if that’s the case. As prevencia yellowish hue does makes the environment a little more dimmer and that could be what’s causing you to feel uncomfortable.
(Not ruling out axis yet)

I had just done another pair of spec with Varilux X Design 1.5 indexes ( the shop does not have equipment to do X Track) .
After wearing this new spec, it sharper for far distance compare to my Varilux Physio Airwear and more comfortable compare to LENSKART for near and immediate vision.

The prescription is similar except change in axis as follow

Varilux Physio and LENSKART lense prescription

R SPH -0.25 CYL -0.25 Axis 140 Add 1.50
L SPH -0.25 CYL -0.25 Axis 75 Add 1.50

Varilux X-Design lenses ( top up with Crizal Prevencia)

R SPH -0.25 CYL -0.25 Axis 120 Add 1.50
L SPH -0.25 CYL -0.25 Axis 85 Add 1.50

The problem is that looking through this new lenses ( X - design) at traffic light at night, it had a bit more of streaky and haloes from the traffic light compare to the other glasses I have. And reading in dark or dimly light environment, it not as comfortable as Physio lenses.

So the question is what cause this ?
Is it the change of Axis or because with additional Crizal Prevencia ?
What to correct to get back the same comfortable level as Physio for night and dim light viewing ?
Also the lense become sharper for far is due to change from Physio to X design or from Airwear to 1.5 indexes ?
Nearly perfect eyesight... Wasted you need to wear glasses

When your prescription for far is near perfect. Your near/presbyopia will hit you hard.

It’s a myth that when you grow older your degree drop and your presbyopia increases.
Many times both distance and near increases simultaneously.

A bit of blur.

Another thing I forgot to mention is the X - Design is coming with the word Short. I assume maybe it stand for short corridor. I wondering y they give me short corridor lenses whereby my frame height is 36 mm and pupil center height from lense bottom is 23 mm. My PHYSIO lenses not have the word Short even though that frame height and pupil center height from bottom is almost similar.

Generally a short corridor is given to those that place a bigger emphasis on Near instead of intermediate. Thus your eyes do not need to scroll all the way down to read better. But it cuts out more of your intermediate as a result of the better reading.

Is the reading better if you push your glasses higher?

That’s right. And those that are myopic/Lao Hua who is about -2.00—-3.00 if remove glasses, will be able to read fine.

That’s why there are some people who say,” I no laohua, I take off glasses can read clearly”
They have, but their natural compensation of the degree allows them to read, but for short period, if they do it longer, headache will come.

I forgot to ask, the frame, does it come with nosepads too? Or those fix on(sitting close to face).

I believe if it’s bothering you, you can remove prevencia(add on) and go with bluecap(standard). Then adjust your astig axis. Which means going back to your physio properties.
Adding on, I personally feel based on your points, it’s due mainly to axis and adjustment of the frame rather than prevencia.

Just a tiny bit better, not to much different if I push my glass higher .

The frame had a nose pad.

I think it should be due to the astig axis because everything look fine in day light, it only at dark, before dawn and after dusk, can see a bit more streak and haloes on lights especially at traffic lights, and looking at handphone at dark or dimly light area.

Go back and let them know of the issue and they will troubleshoot it and remake the lenses for you👌🏻

310 comes with bluecap, 80 is prevencia which makes it yellowish. Then likely is add transition to make it near 500.
