No you can’t unfortunately. We can’t recoat lenses. Most Brand’s right now also got anti fog but it doesn’t work as well.

Usually the anti fog spray would work much better.

Tks gangsterkia, I been using anti fog spray with good result but it is a hassle to recoat after every wash. Plus the rubbing on the lens to apply the anti fog coating might be causing the lens coating to wear off prematurely..

Any idea on the warranty period for shamir lens?

In general, usually it doesn’t affect the coating much.
Warranty on manufacturing defects is usually 1-2 years iirc.

Hm, I understand how you feel. If i dont wear glasses and walk around i will have that forehead tightness and slight headache.

For such prescription, it does affect us still. Of course more for individuals who are slightly more sensitive. Thus you could fall into that spectrum. But by any chance are you above 40 too?

Thanks for the reply.
I dont have such issue for the past 2 yrs wearing the safety goggle at work only. Only recent start having it after falling sick.

So now i wear the safety goggle hm too. It did help alot but if i try looking at a certain angle i will start to feel strain and tightness at the forehead.

Maybe start to eating supplements to see if it helps.

Im only 36 now, all the while perfect eyesight. Now one eye with astig, so irritating....

Hello everyone I am new here.
First and foremost thank you in advance for your advice.

So I am someone who doesn't need to wear glasses due to low degree but am choosing to.

I want lens that is fog-proof and also UV+Blue light protective

So I walked into Owndays and I found a frame I like which cost $198 all in with lens.

But if I want it to be fog proof it is +$100, and if I want to top up blue-light filter on top of it, it is going to cost another +$100

this would mean I will pay $198 + $200 = $398
almost $400 for a pair of owndays

so my question is, is the price crazy?
and also would I be better off buying Crizal lenses?

Paging for gansterkia boss urgently.

I have a query with the essilor eyezen lens which i made. When i push my frame very high up i can see very clear but when the frame rests back at normal height on my nose the vision becomes not so clear. Is this normal?

When your prescription for far is near perfect. Your near/presbyopia will hit you hard.

It’s a myth that when you grow older your degree drop and your presbyopia increases.
Many times both distance and near increases simultaneously.

Hi gansterkia, do you mean both near and far cant see clearly because for near vison the + power increases and for distance vision the - power also increases?

How about intermediate vision? Is laptop distance about 45cm considered intermediate? Watching tv about 2-3 metres away considered far distance?

Generally a short corridor is given to those that place a bigger emphasis on Near instead of intermediate. Thus your eyes do not need to scroll all the way down to read better. But it cuts out more of your intermediate as a result of the better reading.

Is the reading better if you push your glasses higher?

Sorry gansterkia, im a noob. From what you said here, seems like eyezen aka those anti-fatigue lens also incorporated progressive lens ingredients inside?

When i push my glasses higher i can actually see alot clearer. What does this mean?

Nope. They are not the same. Bluecap is a blue light filter too. But when you look through it, it’s less yellow. Prevencia is an add on to make it more yellow which cost 80 dollars more.
Wait... single vision or eye zen? Your practitioner recommend you?

Hi boss, isnt eyezen also single vision lens?

I did both before. Yup he recommended , say it makes reading easier but I can't get used to eyezen since I'm only in my mid 30s and dun have lao hua then changed to current single visio. Even went thru the demo set in the shop which at that point is good but eventually not for me

Im also trying to adjust to my eyezen lens now. Worn for about a week nia. I guess it takes time. Hopefully over time i will get used to eyezen and become clearer. I think im also those type not able to adapt easily ones. :( optician never told me eyezen is for laohua leh. I thought its single vision all along. Im confused now.

Morning,

Depending on how sensitive your eyes are, the only side effect you might get at worst is headache, or the very least some mild giddiness/floating effect for the first 15-20 mins.
Though I rmb your prescription was quite Low. Have you settled your x design lenses?

Morning.

If i rotate between single vison, eyezen and zeiss individual SV (with anti fatugue incorporated) will i have any longterm vision damage?

1)
3)I personally feel short is good. I usually change a short corridor to regular if the patient complaints that they feel dizzy when they walk. There are other factors that could influence my decision but this is just one of them

Hi boss, u say short corridor is good. Does it mean if i have to push my glasses high up then see very clearly considered as short corridor mah?

Hey..... you never pay attention. I have been talking about eyezen, sync 3 , digital lens/energizeme for awhile here.. they are all antifatigue/digital lens for young adults or early presbyopes.

Hm, depending on the frame size you choose, whether it has bridge or not, your working needs are considered factors on whether you need short corridor..

Zeiss individual does not have antifatigue incorporated unless you mean smartlife digital individual.
No won’t have any implication just that when you wear eyezen or digital lens you feel more comfortable as compared to single vision.

Sorry boss, dont tekan me. I dont log in and follow your lectures here all the time woh. Missed out your classes.

So are these digital lens also work quite similarly to progressives?? Means if im early 40s i assume have early presbyopes can just wear this type of digital lens right?

Is it ok to still rotate between pure SV lens and digital lens?

More comfy but compromise on clarity right?

Maybe last time the optician smoked me. Told me zeiss individual SV also incorporated anti fatigue.
