Hey there! Based on the price, I assumed it’s 1.50 index. Based on the RRP which is 840. I think it’s actually a good buy

Wah thanks for your input, anyway my 1st time using progressive lah, any big diff bet the Varilux comfort, Varilux Physio and the Varilux X series? And any idea where I can get the Passen Mr XXL(for wide face) frame in sg?

Passen as in those fit over your glasses kind?
difference is more on the customisation you can add to your lenses, e.g. wider fov, lesser distortion at the peripheral, sharper clarity etc.

Thanks. I opt for opt 3 and bought it at first eyewear. Service was good asked me many questions and give recommendation. Total cost $665 including Korean brand frame.

Currently using crizal uv 1.74 lens and it cost $500+ back in 2017. Considering that it cost $100+ more and better lens/coating.. I think price is ok with the free upgrade thou the lens will be thicker 1.74 to 1.67.

Hoya sensity dark is a newer design for the photochromic coating. Both design are able to turn dark even behind car windshield.
Price wise 850 should be for airwear not 1.6. Air wear is polycarbonate which boast better impact resistance for the lenses but poorer clarity(to the sensitive eyes). You are getting not a bad discount

Recently, I make a new glasses as faraway things I can't see clearly so the glass corrected this problem but when I look at thing close to me or looking at my computer, it seems like it is not very clear at all (not sure how to explain it). Then I wear back my old glasses and it is much more clearer than the new glasses even though it also not clear but still better than the new glasses at close distance

I am not really sure what is the problem here. Any advise? Do I need progressive len?

Sounds like presbyopia... Your underpowered older glasses seem to be better for near tasks. A progressive lens sounds like what you need. If you use your computer a lot more (8+ hours) then maybe you can consider an office lens?

Today I spent 1750 on a pair of glasses... Dk is it I got exploited or what. Pay already then feel like something wrong. It was progressive zeiss lens with transition lens.

I guess your prescription is quite high too?
Usually high index with Zeiss photochromic lens(photofusion) progressive cost that amount. Likely one of the higher tier lenses too

can i also check because i find looking at computer screen quite bright but when i turn down the brightness of the computer, i can't see clearly the wording on the computer screen. is this abnormal?

It seems like you have not reach that point yet. I suspect it could be due to Afew reasons e.g.
Frame adjustment-if you are using a new frame and it is sitting closer to you as compared to the old pair then yes, it might still cause your near vision to be uncomfortable.
Possible prescription whereby you are very comfortable with your old prescription that initially when you wear your new pair, yours eyes are not used to the power.
I would rule out eye muscles issue in this case.
