It seems like you have not reach that point yet. I suspect it could be due to Afew reasons e.g.
Frame adjustment-if you are using a new frame and it is sitting closer to you as compared to the old pair then yes, it might still cause your near vision to be uncomfortable.
Possible prescription whereby you are very comfortable with your old prescription that initially when you wear your new pair, yours eyes are not used to the power.
I would rule out eye muscles issue in this case.
I see. I will try out for another week or so and see if it is still the same.

So far looking at the computer screen is like not really clear (i need to focus and go closer then can see) compared to the old glasses

But how about the frame position?
Was there any difference? E.g last time it seats further to your nose, and now it seats closer?
If it’s the same frame then, do you have any idea how much increase in terms of prescription there is?

Hi,
I guess your prescription is quite high too?
Usually high index with Zeiss photochromic lens(photofusion) progressive cost that amount. Likely one of the higher tier lenses too
Hi Gangsterkia, thank you for your reply. The degree is not very high. Only 50 and 150? I got zeiss and individual 2 progressive lens. Then plus transition. And also iscription. I'm not sure if it's photochromic...

Is this price reasonable?

Wa…your degree is not too high. But really a lot of customisation added in. I mean for their top tier lenses and the extra inscription with photofusion.. price will be somewhere there.. I am only not sure if you got 1.6 or 1.5 index. If It’s 1.6 then it be better.

I think the frame position was about the same.
An increase in 75 for both eyes if i remember correctly when they are making the new glasses

Hm.. give it a try for the next 3-4 days, if it persists, you should go back for troubleshooting.👍👍

All can do. But, I personally recommend going to shops carrying the frame. As they understand what to tell the lens edging company..
Wa…ok sorry. I really don’t know many at the area.
I will recommend the usual ones
1)eyewear optics@thomson plaza
2)jamco@katong shopping center
3)first eyewear@upper Changi road

but do call to make an appt first.
Thank u GANGSTERKIA :)

I did went back before and they told me you most likely got old flower eyes.

They told me either you reduce the power (to be the same as my current old glasses) so that you can see things close to you or maintain it as it is, which is can see far but close up not so clear.

You are only 32… what presbyopia/old flower eye do they mean..? I want to rule out eye muscle issue as you did not had that problem prior to the new glasses made.

You mentioned that the increased was -0.75 degree, distance is your main concern initially. So technically what should be done , if frame fit is fine and not eye muscle issue, is that they lower the prescription but not to your old one if not what’s the point? It should be lowered to either -0.25 or -0.50(test again to let you feel it).

Maybe I will go ask them to see if can lower it. by the way, if it is reduce to 0.50 or 0.25, does it mean seeing thing far away will not be clear again?

Good morning,
Yes it would still be useful. I understand why you chosen smaller frame and yes, it’s the right choice!
Hello again!

ok, that sounds good! Could you give me a rough quote for both anti fatigue lenses and regular lenses for my case?

I figured I’ll need to set aside a larger budget for my degrees+astig. Thank you!

Hi,
They suggested to go back to your original power right? Which means back to your see far not clear kind of vision.
Then when you went over there, they increased your power by -0.75 which solved your far blurriness but causing your near to be affected.
Thus what I suggest is, instead of -0.75 increment on far, why not -0.25 or -0.50? That way no matter, even with -0.25 it technically will improve your vision too(take note, I am not the one doing the refraction, so your practitioner is still the one who should recommend you the change).

Right: -375 x -050 x 140
Left: -50 x -50 x 10

Hi Gangsterkia

Like to get your advice for my situation.

I am 42 and got my 1st pair of progressive (Tokai) lens from LK**. I did my single vision with them about 1 year ago.

The progressive can read near but far wasn't too clear, especially road signs at night or shopping mall signages - those sign with lights. It doesn't help even if shifted the position of the spects a little up or down.

They retest my eyepower after 2weeks there were no change in my eyepower. But the strange thing is I can see clearly with that testing spectacles which had the exact power as my single vision & progressive (top part).

Any advice for me which type/brand of progressive lens is good for me, and i think a good optician. I am deskbound and use laptop for at least 8hrs a day. I desperately needed a good pair of glasses.

Many TIA...

Good evening,
Hey, I understand what you mean. I have encountered some patients like these in the past too.

1)your new frame, is it with those nosepads that pushes your glasses further from your eyes?

Thanks for being so detailed. Based on your points, with benefit given
1)We can rule out the prescription issue
2)We can rule out fitting measuring issue e.g. pupil height and centering

I suspect it could be due to maybe a new frame you purchased, which sitting position might affect your vision. Are you reusing the frame or a whole new frame?

Hi, I'm looking for matsuda glasses. Do you have recommendations which shop to go? What is the approximate price range for the frames? Thanks :)
