Hi,
They suggested to go back to your original power right? Which means back to your see far not clear kind of vision.
Then when you went over there, they increased your power by -0.75 which solved your far blurriness but causing your near to be affected.
Thus what I suggest is, instead of -0.75 increment on far, why not -0.25 or -0.50? That way no matter, even with -0.25 it technically will improve your vision too(take note, I am not the one doing the refraction, so your practitioner is still the one who should recommend you the change).
Hi, they reduce it by 0.5 but somehow seeing thing close to me (looking at the computer screen) is not very clear to me. I am not sure what is the problem.....

Has this blurriness happened recently or for quite awhile already?

Using my old glasses, things are clearer and more comfortable for close distance (although at some distance away from the computer screen things become not clear or blurriness, I am not sure how to explain this)

The blurriness happen when I wear new glasses when I try to look at things closer to me at the same distance as my old glasses (somehow I feel eye strains and I need to focus on the words on my computer screen or move my eyes closer to the computer screen)

Also with the new glasses, looking at the computer screen seems like more bright as compared to my old glasses.

I hope the above give you a better understanding of my problem.

PSA: Sharing this here in case anyone is interested to get a free eye check up at Singapore National Eye Centre. I just went for it and it was legit, so thought to share.

SNEC (at Bedok) are doing a myopia research so they're recruiting participants. It's a one day thing, about 2 hours where they do a couple of machines test on your eyes and ask you a few health qns. They will also put dilation eyedrops so your vision will be blurry for about 5-6 hours after it.

You'll get a simple report on your degrees, and the eye doctor also checked me for cataracts, glaucoma and retina detachment. At the end, they also gave $50 cash as a token of appreciation, as well as MC if you need.

Email: myopiacentre@snec.com.sg
Title: PROMYSE Research
NEED: Myopia of more than 350 degrees currently (done lasik before ok), No existing eye condition, Age 21-54

Not affiliated with them, just sharing. Google the above if you need more info.

Man…seems to me that if that’s the case you might need digital/antifatigue lens instead for your eyes. Just by hearing this, could be The Eye muscles are weaker..

Thanks for the sharing! Just to add on, after dilation drops, some individuals might find being under the sun more glaring, thus bring along a pair of sunglasses especially if you are driving.

Hi Gangsterkia,

Thanks for your reply and advise. Greatly appreciate it.
Could I check with you if I should see a eyes doctor first before making the new digital/antifatigue lens? because the Opticians that make my glasses cant really seem to provide me with any advise....

Hey, no harm going to an eye doctor for a check up. To rule out any possible complications. A checkup is usually about 200-400 depending on the clinic you go to..

Hi. Would you be able to advise the retail prices of Zeiss 1.74 lens.
Also I am a bit confused by the different types of single vision lens and digital lens. Which is the one you would recommend for 850 to 900 degrees?
