Please go back and request to check the power again. Do you have astigmatism?

Is the frame rim THICK as well? maybe its heavy? But BIG is the trend now leh... bad headache maybe prescrption problem? Did you ask uncle tony why?

Don't think it's thick, it's like those black round to rectangular frame, quite light also. Have called uncle Tony but he insisted it's the frame too big and I should downsize to a smaller one.

Nope, I don't have astigmatism. Jus wish to check if his theory is possible? That frame too big can cause such problems?

Most likely is due to improper fitting if the lens. Esp big frame. My guess is the optical point is not adjusted properly

I had this problem with my IC Berlin Julius frame also. In the end, I took it to another optician shop and got another lens fitted in. This time, no more giddiness. It is definitely due to the wrong optical point.

Wasted 240 sgd on the Crizal Prevencia Lens. Sighz.

Hi guys. I just snapped the legs of my glasses, so will need replacement urgently. I need some recommendations for no frills cheap daily beater glasses. Basically I wear contact lenses whole day de, so this pair of glasses is only for wearing in the evenings only. Only problem is that my degree is quite high, more than 600 each side with slight astig.

Do you think its possible to make a pair for around $100? I really have not much expectations because its going to be for wearing at home only. Preferably somewhere in the west or town areas

Btw, is my degree possible to use High Index (1.60) Aspheric Lenses???

TIA

Waa like that difficult already, if yur uncle tony insisted its the size problem... Rather headache i also dunoe how to advise u.. Unless he dont charge u for downsizing to smaller frame else u will risk a second unwearable spec.. So how.. Another option is look for another optician to double check for u again before u decide what to do next. Always good to have another optician cross checking, so that u know whether they made mistake or not. Sharing my secret with u. Becos u go back same optician to recheck sure tell u no problem. Haiz.

Guys I went to another optician to check. They said e bigger frame optical point is 67 and my current specs is 64, should be the frame too big. Is there anything else to do if I want to continue wearing this frame besides getting a headache?

Kenzo bro, PD dont change with frames. If yur PD is 64 then easy liao nectime go make lens make sure tell them yur PD is 64, emphasise that they must folo else u have headache u will return to demand replacement. Remember that bro! Opticians many dont do their jobs properly. Ofcos bug frame can use, just replace lens with proper PD made.

i think it will cost you slightly higher, maybe bout 150-180 for the index that will suit your power for lenses e.g. zeiss , hoya , essilor etc.

Yes Kenzo bro, like Seannie said, PD does not change, no matter frame big or small, only thickness change.
I suggest you measure your PD again with the optician, then go to Uncle Tony and ask him to check the PD of the lens you made in his shop, if it's too much difference, like what u said, 64 become 67, you shld really ask Uncle Tony to change the lens for you with no charge.
You shldn't be paying anything more.

Unless after he changed it but you still feel giddy, then could be your eyes too sensitive cannot take the big frame and bigger distortion... then bo bian.

I suspect is the frame size too big, thus causing not able to achieve the Pd of urs, lens size for myopia is 70mm, if ur frame too big, usually what they do is max in the pd. If u dun mind, u drop me a pm. I help u do some calculation to see if the frame is too big.

Hi, recently made a new pair of spectacle with Crizal Prevencia lens.
Brought it home, and noticed that when lens placed at
an angle, can see that the coating on both lens are
uneven (with blobs and small dots).

At first thought its just oily or something.
At home, tried cleaning lens with mild cleaning agent and
microfiber cloth, still the same.
Took it back to shop, they tried cleaning, still the same.
Shop say they will send it back to Crizal for check.

Did anyone encountered such a problem ?
Crizal lens no Quality Control ?
The Crizal lens came with a small printed card,
but no serial number.
How can i tell it is real Crizal lens or just some imitation lens ?
When i use the lens, noticed that things seen through
the lens are slightly yellow, is it normal ?

First I believe is the lens issue, most likely is the hardcoat problem, hardcoat is below the multicoat.
Secondly, one of the way to find out if it's crizal is to use ur hot breath to blow on the lens making it fog, then u see if there is a crizal word,
Thirdly, for single vision stock lens, there usually will not be any serial number for Essilor lens, only rx lens and progressive have
