It did break at the joint. There was no metal at the joint of the specs I had.

it's probably those that use c-clips am I right?

not very durable , not sure if the clips are ultem though as the texture is different and harder

you need to get those with metal joints, they last somewhat longer and can take more punishment

eh... not really? what sort of thought?
I think the info given is pretty standard
i used to like oakleys when they were cheap and good at around 100+ made in USA
nowadays mic+ $4-500 onwards
and lol some of the 4-500 frames are way worse than the 100 ones they used to have
and they're not the only brand to do so .

silhouette is making a bigger impact these days though, maybe has to do with new dealer . I've heard some guys prefer them due to the frame being soft at the sides but bridge is titanium so the lens doesn't bend inwards and change the focal point when you pull the legs . (something that happens to a lot of soft new frames)

a lot of the old known brands removed the "made in" these days lol
and would just put a name of the country like say for examply "frame japan" frame france"

Any idea on Oakley titanium frame price?
I do sweat alot hence my spec especially lens (turn yellowish over time) and hing area of frame will corrode..

So far my current Oakley 4-5 year been ok (no corrosion I'm pretty impress, damn durable spec flew all over the place still maintain it toughness) but thinking to get new set of spec.. Any recommend on durable frame?

crizal lenses doesnt prevent scratching. no lens prevents scratching, just more resistant. really dependant on user handling. my crizal can last me for years with only slight scratches. fogging appears on every lens in the market unless you use an anti fog wipe. (even if u get the best lens, u will still be complaining why it get scratched or fog moving in and out of aircon room) maybe you misunderstood the product and expected more.

Plastic lenses go up to 1.74 generally, with a couple of suppliers going for 1.76.

Glass lenses go up to 1.9.

I'll recommend brands based on a particular look a customer is looking for

sporty young , increased energy levels, nike/oakley......etc

office dress wear , gucci, prada , ......etc

sophisticated look , something minimalist , like silhouette

retro chic --- rayban

thick geeky for young adults aul frank....etc

arty farty , theo, mikli ........etc

mature sporty look , tag heuer ...........etc

cartoony relaxed look thick plastic frames : swissflex ..........etc

when i used to sell branded stuff I would ask if you're looking for a branded frame... why? do you believe in the brand?
are you looking for a specific look for occupation uses

most will change often , and most brands cover warranties within 1 year (last time) and there's a basic standard for quality, things are not going to break within 1-2 years,
manufacturing/design defects would occur within 1 year . generally breakage after 1 year is due to the user

I ask before recommending so I really don't have a brand to recommend

I recalled Capitol's owners took over the distribution
So some of their staff in some branches requested and built a silhouette display if they felt confident about silhouette
I've been to the branch in anchorpoint and even that has a decent sized collection. (got display cupboard)
I assume they're not the only ones?
So you can try out the nearest branch and ask from there
Figure out if you like certain designs.
If you have power higher than -3.00 smile take a photo of the frame on your face.
Capitol staff generally are OK with that

Zeiss choice $300+
Zeiss plus 2$380 whole set (Rrp for lenses alone was $490)

She choose Zeiss plus 2 with Duravision for $380.

Then complain during collection I'm expensive because her friends did progressives fOr $100+

If your frame was around $4-500( I saw some around $475)
It's a decent priced item if you're getting at least Crizal

But generally if you want to appear more neutral /gentle. A metallic brown /bronze is more mature

I often used Prada as an example because they have very big contrasts with shiny decorative metal pieces at the sides. So if you're looking for that smart look. It's not the actual brand itself but the look
Braunbuffel is way cheaper but gives a decent "smart educated " look

When I used to need to serve Indonesians... They insisted on Cartier because it's for others to look at. And people judge harshly on clothing and accessories

Mont blanc... Same category. Who is looking at you? Makes a huge difference what's on your face

Attitudes can change instantly based on those .. Because we live in a shallow world

very old man looking piece with Eh... Diamonds. So ugly it can't be fake. I was stuck with it so I thought I might as well wear it
I chatted with a couple helping them and getting very very chummy friendly until my colleagues asked if I knew them
But when I concluded everything and needed to put the glasses back into the showcase the glass cover caught my sleeve of my jacket and pulled it up
Out of the corner of my eyes I could see him stare and widen his eyes
And the atmosphere changed.. He suddenly became less friendly and more business like... "respectful "
And offered a business card when I came back with his receipt and asked I look for him if I wanted a car.

That rimless MontBlanc frame that I am eyeing for somehow suit my face. MY gf also likes it. My degrees are pretty bad at about 400+ on each eye.

Yes I am going for the 1.6 (is the thinnest lens right?) transition lens. I tend to choose big brands for their quality and design.

The picture below is something similar to what I saw but the frames are straight unlike those conventional ones that are bended.

I don't think I've ever seen scratches on my glass lenses. Really. Maybe have small scratches, but I never noticed.

I think the Crizal lense would give you less prone to scratches than its absolute scratch-free.

My current pair of Crizal lense still going quite strong! But including you keep it well!

Thinking to try the Prevencia lenses.. any thoughts?
