Is there a real difference in quality between branded and non-branded lenses? I realised the price difference is huge!

For the same index lens, would the lens with correction for high astig cost more?

Information asymmetry at work in the specs industry. The market is not efficient and consumers are likely paying high prices. Hope some expert can throw some light.
