Is normal polycarbonate lens as good as crizal or Hoya polycarbonate? I m using crizal now but I still getting smudges and water drops - the 5 enemies are not exactly eliminated.

So really worth to pay so much for branded lens?

Now thinking of matching ic Berlin frame with normAl polycarbonate lens at a full price below $500. Possible?

Polycarbonate lens no matter which brand will not be good optically.

You using crizal and still getting smudges and water drop? you should go back to complain. i really don't understand why people like crizal lens so much. is it because you keep seeing the advertising on TV?

I believe Crizal is just a coating, and not an actual lens material. What you're getting is probably still polycarbonate. Crizal coating is a proprietary name by "Essilor".

Just got my Oakley Whisker 6B with Crizal lenses. This is the first time I'm wearing Oakleys and my eyes are aching from the curvature of the lens...it's like I put on lens that are too powerful for me (I did increase 25deg each side according to the eye test) and there's such weird distortion at the edges especially.

Is this normal? And how long does it last? I'm worried about driving in it...

Much better as my eyes are getting used to it, but the distortion is still noticeable at the sides.

Does anyone knows crizal lens n transition lens which one is better? I usually work outside, tink of doing transition but when i sweat will leave a water mark on lens sometimes have dusts too. Or is there lens tat hav both function transition n crizal? Thx.

this can be due to fatigue. aka computer vision syndrome. go to your optometrist. they would check your eyes for any other problems before they prescribe you with "computer lenses". Prescription to relieve your muscles from being too tensed up. Go get your eyes checked.

their oakley specs got free replacement of teh rubber grip n nose pad for life time wor
muz go to dealer lar, notch they gib u replacement lar

Is anti-fatigue lens a better choice ?

It depends.

Eye fatigue can be due to several causes. If the causes of fatigue is not known and simply wearing an "anti fatigue lens" (another fancy term for a lens from Essilor) just because your eyes feel tired will not help.

It seems like Essilor has done a wonderful job in their marketing (they have a huge budget) because there seems to be a lot of consumer awareness of their products. what with crizal lens , which many people thought are scratch proof when in fact it's just scratch resistant and anti fatigue lens, which people think will really cure their eye fatigue if they just wear one without knowing what is the cause of the fatigue.

as far as the professionals are concern, essilor is not the market leader in ophthalmic lens technology but they do a wonderful job to make consumers think they are.
