Roughly how much is Hoya SFT 1.67? Or roughly the frame cost?

Thanks~~~
I didn't ask the breakdown after discount, but the SFT lens was listed as $350 RRP.

I remembered the frames price tag was in the high $400 range.

Thanks. Still torn between getting ByWP or maybe change to this. The white frame looks cool.

I was testing the exact same model in parkway!

haha.. what color did you get? Did your lens suffer from any coating flaking out? My current Oakley Wingspan Livestrong has the black coating coming out, looking freaking ugly now :(

mine is the dark blue metallic colour. Very nice colour. Glossy but not too loud. Perfect for me!

Really depends on what you want. Dun is special. By the way, this brand is born in 2000. I will try to get my hands on their luxury collection LC series in my next hoot. :s12: Very Cool!

Their LC series also available from Nanyang? Or the chinatown optical shop you posted earlier? Might be tempted to go take a look.. ^^

Just that.. the price will be a major factor.. hahhaa

Its worthwhile to invest in a good pair of specs that can last you longer. Price wise, its comparable to oakley but definitely cheaper than the likes of tagheuer & Ic!Berlin.

I think LC series may not be available at nanyang. I may have to try & request my optician at the chinatown shop to order for me but not sure whether can be done or not. Have to see how when im ready to get my hands on my next pair of Dun.

As for now, im simply enjoying the comfort & quality of life it brings!

How I wished I had know more about dun before I settled for silhouette. I m now itchy to get a new frame. Any dun frame and colour to recommend for ladies with round face?

I can only say, you'll never know til you try.
personally I've never had such rave reviews regarding dun and the entire group of similar frames. definitely not about the part where it enhances the quality of life.:s13::s13::s13:
(I just found out my bro has a pair last night and he has no idea where he chucked it, didn't like the fitting.)

but if you're interested. find a place where they'll let you try it on for 5-15 mins
if it feels as awesome, talk to the person there, for half frames if the bridge area is of a similar size, and the person is confident enough regarding the points(progressives) and the axis if you have astig. it's possible to switch the lenses over. have seen it done sucessfully but the measurements must be the same for both frames.

of course if the person is unable to understand and thinks it's just moving the lenses over then skip it.

if you can't decide then visit the person who sold you the silhouette and ask if they have anyone in the shop who can push the glasses out for you. ideally that is the cheapest and best solution

Hmmm not sure about queensway, never been there for some time, last round i been there never saw much jap brands. I seldom see Dun eyewear, maybe not many shops take it, and not puzzled why too, becos like you said if u are impressed, it should be a good thing, but shops seem to want sell popular brands like rayban, oakley etc.

Even when you are at nanyang HQ, you also dont see they take many Dun specs right? They have alot of mostly euro brands & also their own brands.

that's because it doesn't sell. it's one of those brands that you have to push to sell and most wearers don't have such a good opinion of it.
not exactly a bad opinion but simply it's another frame brand they move on from for their next pair.
if not for your views on it I would never have realised there are people actually liked it that much.
for it's price point it isn't one of those things where you go "wow" when you put it on.
it has a specific market, a group of customers who aren't common in sg.

when frames like japonism and dun reached nanyang, it never really moved. unknown european brands moved faster. staff would have to talk like you did to make the customers interested and yet they don't stick with the japanese frames for their next pair.(simply no impact)
naturally the vol never increased since there's no market for it.
