I got it from the above link some time ago. Right now I just did a random query on taobao, it seems there are even sellers that can push the price to like what, $10 per frame?

Those very cheap ones, I read the comments, it's replica ~ :s22:

Im not too sure about the cheap ones. I paid about RMB 150 back then for frames. To me, the quality was rather unexpectedly good. As it is just a fashion pair of specs, I wasnt too concerned even if the quality is mediocre.

I had a light discussion with some of the bros here over authentic vs replica eyewear. To me, so long it looks good and can hold up to daily use, why spend more?

Though I have a sudden urge to buy some of the made in japan frames. There is this particular brand called Kame ManNen that focuses on vintage designs. But their prices zomg

Made this progressive specs in HP in JB.

Lens 1.6index Hoya $550myr. Frame $150myr Ideco brand. Total $700myr.

The Hoya Progressive lens is Aplitude. Compared to my Essilor Elipse, I find the Hoya has a narrow vision.

I was wearing it while driving at night for the first time and nearly knock down a cyclist cos my side views were not as clear.

Anyone using Hoya Amplitude progressive lens?

BTW, Hoya Amplitude is not sold here in SG.

Brand new dead stock vintage frames below S$15

Hi there,

I have been reading yr posts and most of you were complaining about expensive spectacle. I wanna share a good news with you guys! I'm part of a team called [The Vintage Frames] and we have been collecting dead stocks spectacle frames from factories in Japan Korea and Hong Kong. We are constantly working on restoration of these frames. Our aim is to find these frames owners. These frames were unwanted left over OEM dead stock thats why we got them at very good price. they are still in very good condition. What's more amazing is that they have very unique designs. Currently we have a selection of aviator, square, round, and browline frames. We will launching acetate frames hopefully by June. Acetate frames are higher quality plastic frames that are more durable, flexible and more Eco friendly. These frames were handmade and its much better than the modern china made injection molding plastic frames.

We are currently working on the restoration of cheaper range vintage frames (below S$15) But we have a really wide range of frames including special material such as titanium, 22KGP and 3.5 micron gold coating frames. Those will be below S$60. Still at a very economical price for such good materials. Please feel free to enquire about any kind of frames. Please note that we don't have any branded spectacles. They are mostly OEM brands by Korea Japan Hong Kong for export market to European countries during the 70s - 90s.

Many of you should be familiar with optical shops in JB. Bring these frames to them, I'm sure they will fit prescription lenses for you. These frames can be very trendy sunglasses too! They have many possibilities.

Help us rescue these frames. They deserve much better than being destroyed.

If you are interested, check out our Blogshop : TheVintageFrames.blogspot.com
Like and share us on FB: facebook.com/TheVintageFrames
Take some time to read about us, we r sure you can get something you like.

We r now having an opening promotional offer, with any purchase, you'll get a pair of free handmade acetate frame!

Hope to hear from you soon!
